Zebra is our wireless modular synthesizer. It combines many different types of synthesis with a powerful modulation engine. Imagine – you can create any additive, freehand or spline-based waveform you like, apply a vast selection of spectral effects, morph between those waves and send them through classic synth filters. Perhaps use that entire sound as modulator for an FM oscillator, or route it through a comb filter – the building block of physical modeling synthesis. All generator modules, all signal paths, all effects are stereo.

The oscillators, filters and envelopes closely model components found in some of the great monophonic and polyphonic synthesizers of yesteryear. Modules can be mixed and matched so you can build hybrids, but what sets DIVA apart is the sheer authenticity of the analogue sound. This comes at the cost of quite a high CPU-hit, but we think it was worth it: Diva is the first native software synth that applies methods from industrial circuit simulators (e.g. PSpice) in realtime. The behaviour of zero-delay-feedback filters when pushed to the limit clearly demonstrates the advantages of this groundbreaking approach.

Zebra Elysium represents the soft, dark underbelly of cinematic underscore and ambient electronica. 128 patches full of of blissful leads, kinetic basslines, hypnotic sequences, brooding basses and sumptuous pads. Inspired by modern film scores that ripple with delicate, infectious analogue synths, Elysium packs a subtle punch.  The emphasis is on lush, lo-fi atmospheres; vintage, widescreen storytelling with a contemporary nuance. Equally at home evoking a dense, fog-set forest; rain-soaked Giger-esque futuristic metropolis; or glittering, steampunk citadel. Zebra Elysium comes in two versions, the original Zebra2 soundset and a special expanded Dark Edition for Zebra HZ/Dark Zebra. The Dark Edition includes the original Zebra2 patches, but all has a bonus 128 sounds. These bonus sounds take the 128 original Elysium patches and push them in a darker, grittier, more analogue direction.

Zebra Serenity is a collection of 128 new sounds for u-he’s Zebra2 synth. With an emphasis on warm, organic, analogue tones with some bite, this soundset is designed to provide fresh synth noises for modern film scoring and atmospheric electronica. Serenity takes advantage of Zebra2’s extraordinary attention to detail, extensive modular capabilities and highly developed synth engine. Serenity leans towards the sound of hybrid scores like M83’s Oblivion, Daft Punk’s Tron: Legacy and Harry Gregson-Williams’ Total Recall; where classic, analogue synth warmth meets the searing, modern virtual analogue. The collection includes: gritty and subtle basslines/sequences; punchy and roaring basses; lush and fragile pads; emotional and unsettling soundscapes; crisp and detuned leads; synthetic and physically modelled percussion loops.
