The PTC-2A is a superb emulation of the legendary Pultec EQP-1A, one of the most sought-after vintage equalizers. Separate LF Boost and Attenuate controls provide the signature Pultec sounds, while, as in the original hardware, a transformer-coupled tube amplifier stage further enhances the vintage qualities. Innovative filter technology provides a genuine analogue response without requiring conventional CPU-intensive techniques.
Kick is kick drum synthesizer that allows a user to create kick drums and tune them to their tracks. It combines a synthesised sub oscillator and sampled clicks to create a wide variety of kick drums, percussive and bass sounds. With Pitch, Amp and Click envelope editors, drive, pitch control and the Nicky Romero designed distortion section, there is plenty to tweak. With over 150 factory presets and 40 exclusive Nicky Romero presets a user can access a Protocol sound right out of the box. In addition Kick comes bundled with 32 Nicky Romero clicks lifted straight from his productions. Other features include on board EQ, sub drive, distortion section and a internal master limiter allowing the user to drive the kicks without worrying about their kick channel.
Transector is a transient design audio plugin, used to attenuate various transient qualities of an audio signal. Use it to boost the initial attack of various instruments, such as adding more crack to a snare or kick drum. Simultaneously, you can use Transector to alter the decaying portion of audio. This is useful in many situations, such as decreasing the decay of a vocal track, or reducing to amount of room ambiance in drum tracking.
Inspired by the Pultec EQH equalizers, the PTH-2A provides a cost-effective feature subset of the PTC-2A / EQP-1A emulation. The PTH-2A uses the same filter emulation technology, providing separately adjustable LF Boost and Attenuate controls for the signature Pultec low-end sound, with three selectable frequencies.
