The most faithful emulation of a modern yet legendary tube compressor/limiter – perfect glue for mixing and mastering… An industry-standard tube compressor | Variable-bias tube compressors deliver smooth, transparent gain control, and naturally “glue” buses, mixes, and masters together. Unfortunately, the original hardware is expensive and difficult to integrate with in-the-box workflows. Software emulations exist, but most owners of the hardware agree that they cannot be compared to the original unit, as there’s always “something” missing. With its unique Topology Preservation Technology, Pulsar VM-COMP sounds objectively identical to the hardware in every production context, but also introduces improvements such as visual sidechain EQ editing and extended timing ranges.
UPDATE NEWS— C254-E has just received a major V2 update. The update is HUGE. Everything was rebuilt from the ground up, it’s really an all-new product. The programming has been completely redone, resulting in an entirely new, vastly improved compressor. Attack times, release times, everything is vastly improved, even including the samples (re-rendered from the original tone sweeps to allow for better edits as well as reducing stereo differences). This is now my most accurate compressor, by far. I spent months on this update, determined to make one of the best Nebula compressors out there, and learned a lot of new techniques in the process.

LAxLimit is an advanced look ahead, wideband linked-stereo limiter including ISP (inter sample peak) detection and oversampling. LAxLimit offers more control over transients and adaptive release curves. It adds now extended metering (RMS, EBU and Dialog gated). The goal of the design was to cover a broad range of limiting applications in today’s mixing and mastering situations with strong focus on low aliasing.
