LevelView is a highly innovative real time loudness meter. Its ‘Rainbow meter’, based upon the ‘Bendy Meter’ concept of BBC Research, gives the user continuous insight in recent loudness levels of the program material. The arces of the rainbow all have different integration times: the outer ring shows loudness of the last 3s, every step inward triples the time span. This technique has proven to offer a very convenient monitor view during a mix process.
The WVS WLM Plus Loudness Meter plugin provides precision loudness measurement, metering, correction and adjustment tools for broadcast, movie trailers, games, packaged media and more. Fully compliant with all current ITU, EBU and ATSC specifications, the WLM Plus offers comprehensive Momentary, Short Term, Long Term and True Peak readouts, as well as a unique warning and logging system that keeps track of your levels, alerting you when you’ve exceeded them – or fallen short.
In addition to all the features of the standard version VUMT deluxe offers more metering types (BBC, DIN, Nordic) plus various channel tools, such as Mute and Polarity reverse buttons, a monitor section and the following signal processing tools: HighPass and LowPass Filters, a single band dynamic EQ with various filter types, useful to remove resonances or for de-essing and a mono maker to narrow the stereo image below a certain frequency. FinalLoud 2 is a loudness and True Peak finalizer tool. It is the successor of FinalLoud. FinalLoud 2 solves quickly a very common challenge in audio engineering: reaching a certain target loudness level for any audio material while maintaining given True Peak ceiling. Therefore FinalLoud 2 combines a gain control, a high quality True Peak limiter and an accurate loudness meter under an easy-to-use interface. The gain control pushes the loudness level to the target level and in parallel the limiter ensures the True Peak ceiling.
Why do you need a multiband correlation meter? Broadband meters don’t always show you potential trouble areas. Multiband approach warns you not to overdo stereo spread, or when your stereo room mics are delivering too much out–of–phase content. Either way, you’d get cancellation when your mix is summed to mono. Correlation measures the degree of relatedness between left and right channel. If both channels are alike, that’s mono, and they will have perfect correlation. When content is present in one channel, and an inverted phase version is in the other channel, that sums to zero in mono and the audio disappears. If your material is destined for LP distribution, keep in mind that lacquer cutting has difficulty with large amplitude, out–of–phase information at very low frequencies. 2BC multiCORR provides four bands of analysis for the critical bottom octave, six additional bands of metering covering frequencies up to 200 Hz, plus three additional band for the 200 to 400 Hz range.
