Pivot is an FM synth with three operators, one morphing filter and zero algorithms, designed to be straightforward and joyous to use. Years of research, development and deep love of FM synthesis has gone into picking just the right balance of flexibility and simplicity. It marks another milestone in a long journey of making FM synthesizers that deviate from the norm. Much like its predecessors, it does not aim to replicate or succeed anything but to explore FM in a slightly different way.

FM synths hold a special place in the history of synthesizers. Exakt, the intuitive and easy-to-use FM synthesizer plugin is designed to make FM synthesis more accessible. As many vintage machines, Exakt has got 4 operators which can be arranged in various FM algorithms. Each operator has got different waveforms such as the basic sine, saw, square and triangle. Then apart from the 8 classic waveforms from the Yamaha TX81Z, four additional enhanced TX waveforms are included. Each operator has got its own amplitude envelope generator supporting the 5 point TX envelopes. These envelopes have been modeled to mimic the TX characteristics. Additionally, up to 16 points can be added to the loopable envelopes in order to create complex shapes. Combined with a flexible modulation matrix, a creamy chorus, gritty distortion and a stereo delay effect, Exakt has got sounds that can be used in all types of music.

RYM2612 is a software FM synthesizer in VST, Audio Unit, AAX and Rack Extension formats. It’s an emulation of the Yamaha YM2612 sound chip, best known for being the vibrant voice of the Sega Genesis/Megadrive videogame console. More than a simple sound-alike, the emulation is cycle-accurate to the original chip, that allows reproducing every unique possibility of the synth. On top of this, the amp circuitry of the console has been reproduced too, in order to obtain the same grain you’d get if you plugged the real hardware into your DAW.
