Blue Cat’s FreqAnalyst Multi is a multi-track spectrum analysis plugin. Using Blue Cat Audio’s exclusive data sharing technology, it lets you visualize the spectral content of several audio tracks on the same screen with extreme smoothness and high resolution for both time and frequency. You can actually see which part of the spectrum every single instrument uses while doing your mix. Just like with Blue Cat’s FreqAnalyst Pro, the frequency analysis can be fine tuned in details, and three modes are offered for each channel: instant, peak or average response of several audio tracks can be displayed on the same graph (the plugin supports up to 16 curves). Zooming capabilities and coordinates display let you exactly measure the characteristics of the spectrum for each audio track. Thanks to the routing capabilities you can define different settings for each track and thus adapt the analysis for each audio signal you want to analyze.

TS-1 is a frequency dependent transient shaper designed to manage the attack and sustain of an incoming audio signal. Thanks to our “Compression by Saturation” concept, TS-1 works great to add warmth and punch to your drum tracks without losing dynamics. TS-1 features two separate detection circuits for Attack and Sustain, whose signals can be filtered to improve the detection (SC filtering) or to color the processed audio. A soft clipping circuit will gently saturate and “compress” your signal, in a similar way to a tape saturation.

Ambi Head is a professional plugin for converting ambisonic signals into 3D binaural audio. It allows manipulations of 3D scenes (rotations and control of spatial width) and contains HRTF filters specifically designed for immersive listening and accurate reproduction of B-format signals. Custom HRTF filters can be loaded via the integrated SOFA importer, letting users choose “custom heads” for personalized binaural rendering. An integrated Goniometer provides visual display of the binaural output (Lissajous display) giving meaningful insights into the scene spatial properties.

Resound is a software audio delay effect processor that emulates the sound and operation of vintage magnetic-tape echo units. Whilst not a direct copy of any one particular model, it takes features from several of the classic delay devices, and unites them into a convincing and pleasingly retro sounding effect. Resound not only models the characteristic mechanical noise present in hardware magnetic-tape units, but also allows the noise to be controlled; from gentle warmth and distortion, to noisy, gritty, and unstable. The sound can be shaped further using the moveable highpass filter. And with feedback set beyond a certain intensity, Resound is even capable of self-oscillation.

Resound’s echoes can either be synced to the host tempo (expressing delay times as musical subdivisions of a beat, each echo will be exactly in time with the host) or in free-time mode (allowing any delay time, up to 2 seconds.) The reverse mode adds further flexibility: by playing each delay backwards, Resound can produce unique effects beyond what hardware magnetic-tape units are capable of.
