Vintage Toy Piano is a charmingly beautiful, classic toy piano. Deeply sampled and featuring two microphone perspectives. the character of the instrument works well for both solo and ensemble applications, including film, classical, children’s, and pop music. With over 1800 samples, the 30-key natural range of the instrument has been chromatically sampled with up to 10 velocity layers and 3 round-robins. For your convenience, we have extended both the treble and bass range slightly beyond its natural range. You can expect a clear, bell-like treble register, with a gently-tapered, natural bass register. An additional 50 instrument sound effects and 25 instrument presets are included. Well, I probably messed around with that little toy piano a lot but I just came to realize its value when I was already an adult and found it again on my basement. It’s not perfectly tuned, it’s a worn and aged little piano, it’s got a lot of character, it makes some noise when we release some keys, and it’s beautiful. Obviously we at HeadlessBuddha Samples sampled it through some worn cassette tape but this time we wanted to capture more subtleties and details than we usually do. I think it’s our best Kontakt instrument to date and we’re very proud to present it to you. The Kinderklavier is an iconic sound found in commercials, TV, soundtracks and pop music. From cute and innocent, dark and twisted, to pop and rock, Kinderklavier is a truly versatile library. This Kinderklavier was deep sampled and close-mic’ed to capture all it’s subtle nuances. As usual, we deeply sampled the instrument, every single 25 notes with 8 round robin and an average of 6 velocity layers per note. The keys of the Kinderklavier had such unique character that we had to multi-sample and include them as release triggers with multiple round robin and velocity layers.

Perhaps the most unusual instrument ever created by the percussion company J.C. Deagan Inc., Shaker Chimes were invented by John Calhoun Deagan in 1900. Also known as Organ Chimes, they are one of the rarest Deagan instruments, with only a few dozen sets still known to exist. Deagan claimed his organ chimes to be “universally conceded as being the greatest novelty instrument ever invented.” Indeed, they were popular among vaudeville musicians during the early 1900s, though they ultimately failed to create a significant market niche for themselves. Although called a “novelty” instrument, Shaker Chimes can produce a wide range of beautiful and unique sounds. A single Shaker Chime consists of four bell metal tubes mounted in a frame. The chimes hang on a floor rack and are played by striking or shaking them by hand. Or they can rock back and forth via their own centripetal motion, creating lush harmonic soundscapes. Shaker Chimes are based on the Indonesian bamboo angklung, but the timbre is altogether different due to their bell-metal construction. ELECTRIC BAROQUE REVIVAL

Commonly known as the Baldwin® electric harpsichord, the Baldwin® Combo Harpsichord originated in the early 1960’s under the umbrella of a short-lived harpsichord manufacturing firm called The Cannon Guild. Founded by the harpsichord builder Eric Herz, the firm supported an inventor named Caleb Warner, whose idea eventually became the Baldwin® electric solid-body harpsichord. The design was soon sold to the Baldwin Piano Company, who manufactured it with the hope that the 1960s’ surge in Baroque-influenced music would turn it into a success. However, only around 500 of these instruments were ultimately produced.

The piano has been sampled using a true analog pedal rig, including a warm and raw sounding handmade analog tremolo and analog cabinet emulation pedals. The rig gives LFO Piano an unique timbre and a raw unpolished character. It perfectly fits many musical styles including RnB, Hip Hop, Cinematic and Pop. The library includes two complete sets, separately recorded with pedal tremolo on and off. Easy controls allow to activate additional designed effects, including Phaser, Chorus, Delay Reverb and Rotary.
