Our library is a new generation of Irish Low Whistle with incredible playability and realism. Low Whistle was created with legato techniques. The low whistle, or concert whistle, is a variation of the traditional tin whistle/pennywhistle, distinguished by its lower pitch and larger size. It is increasingly accepted as a feature of Irish traditional music. In both kinds of music the low whistle is often used for the playing of airs and slow melodies due to its haunting sound. However, it is also becoming used more often for the playing of Irish jigs, reels and hornpipes, it being easier to produce some ornametations on the whistle, due to the size of the finger holes. The most common low whistle is the “Low D”.

The CONTROL side of the plugin allows you to compress the low frequencies independently from the rest of the signal. Simply dial in the threshold, then select the frequency you want to compress below, then boost back in as much or as little as that controlledlow end as you’d like. The ENHANCE side of the plugin allows to add rich harmonic enhancement at a user-defined frequency. Set the frequency slider to lower frequencies for deep sub bass or higher frequencies to help your bass translate to smaller speakers.

Low TunedThe Low Tuned Essentials wave audio format impulse response library is based on an OwnHammer proprietary cabinet captured and mixed in such a way as to complement extended range and heavily downtuned guitars for use in contemporary music styles and production. While not exclusively useful within these parameters, the primarily intended application is for guitars with the lowest pitch being B1 and below. When increasing the unit weight of a string in combination with down tuning, the inherent resonance of the string changes tonality. In simple terms it gets muddy; where the thicker the string and the lower the pitch, the more it builds. The IR’s in this pack combat this by shaping the tone in such a way as to reduce that mud, yet provide additional support for lower fundamentals so that tones are clear and detailed, without being harsh or thin, while still full bodied and retaining authority.
