VertiVerb VRS23 is a faithful simulation of the Dynacord® VRS 23 (Vertical Reverberation System) , an early 80s BBD echo and reverb. This unit uses 10 BBD chips in a complex cascaded matrix to generate both echo and reverberation. As stated by the manufacturer, back in the 80s, the VRS23 incorporated a “newly developed” reverberation structure which avoids the “cellar” effect found in early reverberation units. This translates in a peculiar mixture of delay and reverberation that made the VRS23 a truly unique device. We went further and added new features like FBK and CLK (Clock) trimmers, allowing you to fine tune the feedback amount and the BBD clock speed.

We all know the delicate tweaks needed to get a sound to “sit” in the mix. The name of this plugin, Lunar Lander, came about from the easiness of getting this task done. Primarily designed for guitarists or to tame your aggressive analog synthesizers to sit in the mix, but you will find it working well with just about any other sound source. Put it on your plastic sounding soft synth, and crank the saturation up, and transform your Chihuahua synth to a Dobermann Synth Try Tap Tempo your bpm and crank up the regenerate knob on the BBD Delay Module and get the track grooving. You can switch the signal path to go first through either the BBD Delay or Plate Reverb. Try Lunar Lander on Bass Guitar and get that larger than life sound. Sooper Time Tube + BBD Delay/Reverb

This collection includes effects sampled from three sources. The ‘Time Tube’ unit passes audio through lengths of hose using speakers and pickups, to produce a delay of a few milliseconds, creating a Haas ‘doubling’ effect where the delay isn’t heard as a distinct echo, but instead blends with the dry signal in a way that thickens the sound. Some people love it for vocals. The delay actually comes from the amount of time it takes the sound to travel through the hose. It offers stereo and mono modes, which are different. I’ve sampled both. The other effects were sampled from two home stereo system units: the Pioneer SA60, and the Sansui SA-710. They were both designed to add ambience to the music you play on your system, using bucket brigade delay chips. The SA60 can do a really nice ‘duet’ effect, which is a short delay good for doubling, similar to the ‘Time Tube’ effect.
