TED-8 is the Oberheim TEO-5 as a plugin, built from thousands of measurements of a real unit. Every knob, every curve and every effect was recorded, compared and tuned until the plugin and the hardware sounded the same side by side. Then we gave it three more voices, MPE, MTS-ESP microtuning, a Poly Unison mode that stacks up to 6 voices on each of 8 notes (48 voices at once), a full modulation matrix and a cable to the real thing, so TED-8 works on its own in your DAW or as the editor and librarian for the TEO-5 on your desk.

Tetrad v1.1.5 WiN

Team R2R | 29 September 2025 | 7.3MB

Tetrad is a hybrid instrument based on physical modelling and granular synthesis. A unique quad bus signal chain feeds 4 modelled plates alongside a full modulation matrix, creating a soundscape that rewards experimentation. Tetrad is like no other synth you’ve ever used. The plugin takes four oscillators, routes them in combination through a Quad AM processor that works like a pseudo-sequencer, a specifically tailored Granulator, and four physically modelled plate resonators. Inspired by Gadi’s sculpture-based synth installation, as heard on the album Modes of Vibration, Tetrad was originally devised as a complement to the slashed plates and sound generators of the experimental setup, but has grown into a plugin instrument that puts the capabilities of the installation into a single piece of software in a DAW.

Mr Sax-T v1.0.0 WiN MAC

Team DYNAMiCS | 23 January 2009 | WiN:159MB | MAC:230MB

..: KONTAKT/VSTi/RTAS/AU/UB :..

Mr. Sax T. employs an entirely new technology, developed by Stefano Lucato when it became clear that all the previously applied approaches simply could not do. The technical name is Synchronous Wave Triggering. It uses samples as a base material, chromatically performed by a professional sax player over a very wide dynamic range, and recorded with state-of-the-art technology. The resulting timbre is therefore that of the real instrument. But the analogy with a sample based library ends here. The underlying, proprietary technology allows continuous interpolation among different vectors like time, dynamics, pitch and formants.

The Microwave defined hybrid synthesis at its best with its unique interpretation of wavetable synthesis combined with analogue filters. Now Waldorf Music brings this magical instrument back to digital workstations worldwide with the release of the Microwave 1 Plug-in. Now’s the time to bring back this magical instrument in a software form to the digital workstations of producers and musicians world-wide. The Waldorf Microwave 1 Plugin was painstakingly recreated from the original hardware with all its idiosyncrasies and wonderful singularities.
