The BXO9 plugin is a workhorse plugin with over 100 playable HQ instruments ranging from 808s, Bass, Ambience, Makeshifts, Plucks, Pads and more. I bet at this point you’re probably thinking to yourself “great another rompler plugin” but I will explain and let you hear why the BXO9 is different. BXO9 offers a range of hand made craft sounds that have that realistic organic sound to them so when you are playing, you can hear and feel the vibrations, sparking those creative juices. With BXO9 you can select one sound, so for example I have selected a string sound from the strings category, I can now utilize the layer channels to sculpt and layer the selected sound into something completely different. The layer-able layers offer percussive elements with great play ability and harmonic values. These 4 layers consist of metallic, wooden, glass, and hit like textures that allow the user to sculpt a new sound from the selected sound. Even the 808s come with 4 layer-able 808’s that you can layer over the selected 808. I am confident you will enjoy using the BXO9 and use it time and time again. Ephemere is a percussion synthesizer that includes twelve sound generation engines assigned to each note of an octave. The sounds are generated using FM synthesis and can be further sculpted using a multi mode filter and two simple yet flexible envelope generators. Ephemere makes it easy to add variety to your rhythmic patterns by attaching a randomization setting to most of the synthesis parameters as well as a trigger probability per sound. By keeping the synthesis engine simple yet powerful and providing extensive randomization options, Ephemere is an invaluable tool to very quickly design custom synthetic percussion sounds.

An excellent polyphonic super synth based on the classic Bass Station. Let’s start with 16 voices of polyphony (20 with the new OS), add three VCO’s using sound modeling to re-create those classic analog sounds with digital clarity and reliability. Amazingly this synth has seven effects per voice! That adds up to 56 effects all programmable and simultaneously available on all voices at all times!!! A macho filter section with hi, low, band pass filtering at 12, 18, 24 dB/oct ranges, resonant and self oscillating, with overdrive and key tracking. There are two extremely flexible LFO sections, two ring modulators, eight audio outputs, complete MIDI parameter control and it is cased in a cool blue 3-space rack unit.

The new engine allows the importation of Vocaloid 2 and Vocaloid 3 vocals, though Vocaloid 2 vocals must have already been imported into Vocaloid 3 for this to work. The new engine includes other features, but not all of them are accessible by Vocaloid 2 and Vocaloid 3 vocals. One of the new features is a “Growl” feature which allows vocals built for Vocaloid 4 to take on a growl-like property in their singing results. Cross-synthesis was also added, allowing the user to switch between two of a character’s vocals built for the same language smoothly using a time-varying parameter. This feature is accessible by Vocaloid 3 and Vocaloid 4 vocals, but not Vocaloid 2. Another feature included is Pitch Rendering, which all imported vocals can use. This displays the effective pitch curve on the user interface. Finally, real-time input has been included in this version and is another feature which all vocals can use.
