The Mothman 2000 is a very unique VSTi for windows that seamlessly combines 3 forms of synthesis to create a truly unique sounding and easy to use software synthesizer. There are two main oscillators, the first is a standard waveform generator that has sine, saw, ramp, triangle, pulse, white noise, and pink noise. The other is a phase distortion oscillator, a technology pioneered by Casio in the 1980s for their unique CZ series of synthesizers that contains two separate waveform generators that each produce saw, square, pulse, double sine, saw-pulse and three resonant waveforms. There are VCFs on each oscillator and VCF1 features a dedicated ADSR section. The LFOs are what truly makes this synth unique, because the are actually LFO/HFOs, low and high frequency. The first is connected to the Amp section of OSC1 and the second to the pitch of OSC2. At low oscillation settings they can be use for traditional LFO FX, yet at HFO settings they function as FM operators that can totally change the sound.

Play is EastWest’s 64-bit Advanced Sample Engine with built-in Network Control that powers all future EW sound libraries (The interface automatically changes to display the current instrument’s custom GUI). It, and therefore any sound libraries powered by it, is compatible with Windows 7+ and Mac OS X 10.7+ and functions as a plug-in – VST, Audio Units and AAX – and standalone.
Antares have finally released the Windows version of Kantos v1.0, available in VSTi, DXi and RTAS versions. A fully functional 10 day trial version is available for download. “Kantos is controlled by audio, any pitched monophonic audio, like your voice or a musical instrument, live, in real time. Kantos analyses incoming audio and instantaneously extracts pitch, dynamics, harmonic content and formant characteristics. This information is then used to control the Kantos sound engine in ways never before possible with a conventional MIDI synth.”
STRETCHA is an extreme time stretching plugin for sample files, playing them up to 100 times slower for drone and ambient effects. STRETCHBPM is adjusting a WAV sample loop to a new BPM tempo. CHIPPER is similar, but for drum loops. It is a drum slicer intended for tempo adjustment with some extra effects, like limiting the playback range or playing the loop slices backwards without reversing the sound.
