Combining multiple microphone signals with a wealth of note variations and velocity layers for each articulation may quickly lead to a quite heavy voice count and CPU load. The Vienna Synchron Player comes with the most powerful sample playback engine, featuring unprecedented streaming performance while providing a new level of ease-of-use. Innovative algorithms result in utmost realism and expressiveness: You may play short notes, long notes with various attacks, legatos, scalable vibrato intensities and note repetitions intuitively just by moving one or two preconfigured controllers, with a minimal need to switch articulations manually. The first in the Levine’s Machines series, the Levine’s Machines – Drum Machine, is a perfect emulation of Steve’s original drum machine unit that appeared on all of his most famous recordings. The Levine’s Machines – Drum Machine, being one of just roughly 500 units, is a rarity that not only has the provenance of being a central part of Steve’s career, but the same model appeared on so many hits from the 1980’s, including recordings by Michael Jackson, Prince, Human League, Peter Gabriel, Stevie Wonder, and many, many more.

To produce the same rich and warm sound of the original hardware, LittleOne emulates every single component of the Little Phatty (oscillators, filter, envelopes, LFO …), preserving the original frequency responses and frequency ranges. The result is an analog-sounding instrument – all in the digital domain. But it’s not over…. In addition to the Little Phatty synthesizer emulation, LittleOne encloses a full rack with a 16-step MIDI sequencer, a 16-step trancegate effect and two master effects slots.
