Godlike started out as a project to pass our time, but through the years it became one of the best Mastering softwares on the market. It easily rivals the well-known Mastering softwares, but it maintains a reasonable and fair price. There are several excellent quality Mastering programs in reachable price, but during long years none of them developed into the expected level. The most important aspect of this program is that it is designed to emulate the behaviour of analogue circuits and tape recording. Digital mastering often leads to an unattractive, harsh sound, whereas analogue systems generally allow greater control of volume and tone to be achieved while retaining the smooth sound that most listeners prefer. The software is designed to allow this sweet analogue sound from your digital studio.
Imperial Delay was designed from the beginning with two goals: Be the most powerful delay, and be easy to use. As it turns out, those two requirements tend to be at odds with each other. Some delays give you lots of control but require you to get out your lab coat and calculator in order to use it. Other delays sound great with only a couple knobs, but give you almost no options. Imperial Delay does both. Every option that you would need in a delay is available at the twist of a single knob. If you need more control over those effects, you can enter the advanced controls and experiment to your heart’s content.
Gainrider is a (vocal-) gain riding tool which gives fully control over the gain riding process. It offers more ride algorithms and reduces plugin delay. GainRider3 is the successor of GainRider2, our very popular gain riding plugin. It offers more ride algorithms and reduces plugin delay.
Impress is a wideband stereo compressor including side-chaining, various prefilter options and state-of-the-art over sampling. The goal of the design was to cover a broad range of compression applications in today’s mixing and mastering situations with strong focus on low aliasing. So, Impress could be used to shape subtle a snare sound, glue different tracks on instrument bus and even do complex tasks like deessing or voice over’s.
SLM2 is a smart stereo loudness maximizer including “analog spice” and 16x over-sampling. The goal of the design was to maximize the loudness of the audio signal while maintaining transparency. The SLM2 DSP analyses every sample of the incoming stereo signal within a defined time frame and calculates the optimal volume increase. This guarantees maximum possible transparency. The overall loudness can be further increased by the following, optional clipper stage. Signal aliasing can be reduced by enabling over-sampling.
