  • Raybon and Norland-B Spring Reverbs UPDATED NEBULA-ARCADiA-MaGeSY

Raybon & Norland-B Spring Reverbs Nebula

    Team ARCADiA | 13 January 2026 | 537.87 MB

This set includes two very different sounding spring reverbs. The ‘Raybon’ hardware actually has two separate sets of springs in it, producing a stereo reverb (and was sampled as such). The ‘Nolard’ part of this library was made from the same model I used for my previous Nolard Spring set, but a different actual unit was used. Both reverbs have EQ controls which were sampled for use here, and I don’t know of anyone else doing this in Nebula reverbs.

This release of mine has recently been updated, and 10 taped plate reverbs which were ‘resampled’ onto and off of reel to reel tapes were added! I used 3 different decks at different speeds, providing some variety in tone. These do sound different from the main plate programs and in many cases you’ll probably prefer them! Here we have 2 more plate reverbs, sampled in stereo and with adjustable damper controls. The first one (I’ve named it Mercury) is another example of the most famous plate ever made (the same plate model I sampled four of for PoL 1 and 2). It’s the stereo model with the solid state amp, which I’ve already done two of (one each in PoL 1 and 2), but this one sounds very different from those two. As explained in more detail in the manual different plates even of the same model can sound very different, for a multitude of reasons.

This release of mine has recently been updated, and 7 taped plate reverbs which were ‘resampled’ onto and off of reel to reel tapes were added! I used 3 different decks at different speeds, to provide a nice range of variety in the tone. These do sound different from the main plate programs and in many cases you’ll probably prefer them! Plate reverbs- legendary for their sound, originally conceived as an alternative to real echo-chambers, but still used well after the advent of digital reverb by many, for the magic that only they can impart. That’s what this series of Nebula reverbs is all about. There have been at least a few makes and models of plates over the years, but there is one that has been hailed by some as the king of all reverbs, and that is the one we will kick this series off with. Two of these plates have been sampled and realized through the power of Nebula, and are now destined to be key tools in your sonic arsenal. No two plates are going to sound exactly the same, especially when they may be over half a century old. The manual goes into more detail about why plates even of the same model may sound different. Because these plates are mechanical/electronic hybrid devices, there is probably more variation between your average two examples of this classic reverb than there is between any two examples of a well known ‘vintage’ compressor or EQ. For us this is a great thing, because it means more flavors for us to use!

This product was based mostly on one incredible, tube-based, hardware mastering EQ, and was a joint effort between myself and Matthew Gray. The main programs here are the eleven mastering EQ ‘presets’ that Matt frequently uses at his studio. You can’t adjust the EQ bands in these programs, but this allowed us to sample them dynamically, producing 100% self-contained, complete representations of what was sampled. You don’t get that with most Nebula EQ programs, and usually have to pair the EQ program(s) with a preamp style capture for the dynamics/harmonics. Not so, here. While you can’t adjust the bands, you can transition from the sampled curve towards a no-EQ/flat setting, allowing you to make the EQ more subtle. Next are the eight EQ programs aimed at use in mixing situations. Most of these allow you to adjust the gain on a single band sampled from the EQ, but one can transition between two different sampled EQ curves (smile/frown). Then there are 3 mojo programs which allow you to adjust a ‘mojo’ control sampled from the hardware, which increases harmonics and alters the frequency response. The previously mentioned EQ programs also have the ‘mojo’ control but it doesn’t affect the freq response for them. Lastly, there are 3 bonus preamp programs.

  • Echo Chambers 4 Stairwell, Live Room, Basement, Tiled Bathroom NEBULA-ARCADiA-MaGeSY

    Echo Chambers 4 NEBULA

    Team ARCADiA | 08 January 2026 | 363.86 MB

This one includes multiple captures of a make-shift echo chamber in a stairwell and a live room at a recording studio, as well as a tiled bathroom and a concrete basement in a completely separate building (the house from EC3). For the stairwell, captures were taken with the speaker at the top and the mic at the bottom, and in the opposite setup. Two more had the speaker in an adjoining live room; one with the speaker further in the room, and one with it closer to the stairwell (where the mic was placed). All of these were done with a stereo mic setup.

    Hardwood-Floored Rooms NEBULA

    Team ARCADiA | 07 January 2026 | 559.85 MB

This entry in my Real Spaces series includes some rooms from a completely empty house, with hardwood floors throughout. Two bedrooms of similar dimensions were sampled as make-shift echo chambers. Two different (and different sounding) mics were used in each, with mic#2 being placed in the closet of each room. This created four different room reverbs for use in Nebula. There are also two different stereo combo programs which combine the samples in different ways to make the stereo effect. The first uses both mics, as the rooms were actually sampled. The second combines both rooms for each mic (so you’re actually hearing one room in the left channel, and the separately sampled other room in the right).

    The vintage fatty sound

First launched in 1970, the 1073 modules have established themselves as one of the most sought after mic pres in the history of recording. The module features a Class A amp with 3 bands of creamy Eq. Get the real vintage sound, with St.Ives/Marinair transformers and Motorola power transistor… Not a modern reissue or a clone with cheap electronic components… The legend lives on !
