This package made me quite emotional when I first set it up and heard it for the first time. It has a lovely warmth that screams tubes all over it. If you want a vocal, pianos, a mix or anything to sound smoother warmer and more musical in the mid range this guy just makes music PERIOD. I kind of felt deflated when I pressed the bypass mode.

A very simple sampling of this box aimed at adding weight and clarity. 3 samplings allow you to use this in parallel with your tracks. The TLA Fatman is a prosumer compressor with presets that were geared towards easy mixing. Adds depth and clarity and is mainly on the clear side. Use if you wish for a high fidelity mix. The Box actually has presets that made sampling easy. The presets are – Mojo – nNrmal, High, low, medium. Acoustic guitar, Bass guitar X2, Electric X2, Keys, Kick, Kit, Mix X3, Snare and Vocals X3.

There is some funky stuff that happens in the high end on the mojo modes so perhaps the engine wasn’t really truly bypassed. Anyway adds a sense of dimension to synths and strings when used in a send. Use with your favourite VST emulation in parallel.
