In this course I WILL be teaching you how to play fingerstyle guitar. I cover all of the challenging chords, picking patterns, and techniques that are critical to this style IN DETAIL. I will be teaching you well known songs using a mutli-layered approach. I call these individual layers phases. Phase 1 will cover the chords and alternating bass pattern, phase 2 will cover the chords and the bass played together, phase 3 will be the bass, chords, and melody. This is design specifically to allow you to learn your own favorite songs easily and quickly, because you learn the mechanics behind fingerstyle – NOT just a couple of bars off of a tab. This will also enable you to write your own songs for fingerstyle.
In this tutorial, we’ll look at the steps required to navigate seamlessly between the editor tools and mixing environment. We’ll start with the basics of organization, file management and dive deep into bus routing for mixing with plugins. By the end of this Pro Tools training, you’ll have a solid understanding of how to use Pro Tools for your own projects. Software required: Pro Tools HD 11.3.1, OSX 10.9.5.
FM is a beast to get to grips with.. but here Matt lays down the foundations by giving us a bit of background history on the technology before covering all the most common parameters and functions of FM and finishing with some sound design examples. Using Ableton Live’s Operator, all of the learning outcomes and core concepts in this course can be easily applied to any modern FM synth such as FM8, FL’s Sytrus and even Logic’s basic EFM1 or Retro synths. Well explained and easy to understand, after this FM shouldn’t be that scary thing you shy away from anymore, but a major weapon you can now add to your production arsenal.
