Rotary Organ was sampled from a Hammond M3 tonewheel Organ. The end goal was to simulate the sound of a Hammondnd B3 organ with rotating Leslie Speaker inside of a VSTi/AU/AAX plugin. Every drawbar on every note was sampled individually via the organ’s built-in speaker through a Neumann TLM 102 microphone. The signal was re-amped though a Fender Deluxe Reverb and recorded via a Sennheiser e906. Both signals were run through Grace M101 preamps. A Hammond M3 Organ combines the last two harmonics into a single drawbar, this note was omitted. Instead, a “digital foldback” teqchnique was used to extend the harmonics of the Hammond M3 to be similar to that of a Hammond B3.

Constructed synthesizer with 2 Doppeloscilatoren. Several filters, Distortion and Delay’s bring in the sound booth. The ring modulator and the FM settings bringing the harder sounds being clean. With the LFO’s here 7 Oscilatoren potter, and, accordingly, is the sound. A very universal synthesizer with synchronization and Bpm 64 presets. Of course all the sounds in Stereo. Even with this instrument, we have an additional Effect plugin attached.
Dipole is a through-zero flanger effect plugin. It employs two delay lines with dual-mode feedback, and one of the delays is able to run earlier or later in time in relation to another. As this time difference passes through the zero point, a very special sound transition occurs: with positive feedback, Dipole produces that coveted spectral “swoosh” effect of a jet plane fly-by – and with negative feedback the output signal warps and eventually cancels itself out. In the old days of audio production, such effects were created manually using two parallel tape machines – but now Dipole recreates that charismatic flanging, chorusing and psychedelic stereo widening with much higher fidelity and ease of use. The plugin offers both manual control of the zero point as well as modulation via its built-in multi-waveform generator.
