While an Embracer may sound like a character from an Arnold Schwarzenegger film, in SX it’s a new polyphonic synthesizer that specialises in producing pad and atmospheric sounds. On the whole, Embracer features a relatively simple and unfussy user interface, and it’s capable of producing some very usable sounds. However, perhaps its most intriguing feature is the surround sound output option, of which more in a moment.
Monologue is a monophonic virtual analogue synthesizer based on physical modelling technology and primarily intended for producing bass or lead sounds. It features two oscillators, with choices of sawtooth, square and sub waveforms for Osc 1, and sawtooth, square and triangle waveforms for Osc 2. Oscillator 2 also features PWM control, which adjusts the pulse width of the square wave. The Sync button synchronises the pitch of Osc 2 to that of Osc 1, and when this is active adjusting the pitch of Osc 2 alters tone rather than pitch.
WTS-1 is a small synthesizer developed to provide an easy to understand tool for everyday usage. The simple interface and straight workflow make it the ideal tool for bread and butter bass, lead and pad sounds creation. Despite its simple aspect WTS-1 can create also interesting sound effects thanks to the built-in LFO. WTS-1 has a special “instability” function which introduce some imperfections into the oscillators audio path to simulate the behaviour of old analog synthesizers.
The Affinity SK50D is a Kontakt Library Replication of the ultra-rare Yamaha SK50D dual keyboard synthesizer and symphonic organ. Produced over 40 Years ago in very few numbers, we captured every nuance of this nostalgic and unique multi-timber instrument. It includes 5 full-featured modules including a giant solo monophonic synth, a 3 oscillator polyphonic synth and string machine, a monstrously unique 3 oscillator monophonic bass synth, a 2 timber lush lower organ and an adjustable 9 drawbar style upper organ with an additional 3 timber perk layers. * 100% Analogue Captured We modeled this 100% Analogue instrument to behave like it was originally intended and worked hard to capture its aesthetic look, function, and sound. We used premium AD/DA converters and a pure signal chain to preserve an authentic sound signature. We then built each module to behave how the original instrument did not only in itself but in relation to each other. We made sure our multi patches work with a single modern midi controller and the originally intended two keyboard setup. Every parameter can be automated within Kontakt and mapped to your preferred CC preferences.
