The VLUX 210 P10R Cab Pack is based on a Fender Custom Vibrolux Reverb Amp loaded with the original Jensen P10R 10” Alnico speakers. The tone is a wonderful mixture of full low-mids, complex midrange with character, and an airy top end with a touch of Alnico raspiness for great touch sensitivity, chime, and clarity.  This pack features 114 Single Mic captures and 14 multi-mic Mixes taken with eleven hand-selected microphones for a total of 128 IRs.

Our Goal: was to make the absolute best recreations of the most legendary studio reverb plates that were produced in both Europe and in the USA in the 1960’s and 70’s. We had access to the finest possible examples of these 600+ lb analog giants as well as a top notch technical staff to get them in like-new condition. The plates were tuned and serviced inside, and out to optimize the performance and even surpass the original specs in some cases. We were actually able to acquire a six second decay time from our European plate…that’s a full second more than the original specification!

It features twelve original reverberation algorithms (including the latest Dark reverb modes, Nostromo, Narcissus, Sulaco and LV-426), and produces a wide range of natural reverberation sounds. Sounds range from tight ambiences and rooms, through traditional hall and plate sounds, all the way up to vast modulated spaces. The algorithm designs have been influenced by some of the “classic” room simulation boxes, as well as state of the art modern theory. ValhallaRoom has been designed from a psychoacoustic perspective. Instead of creating a simplified physical model of a simplified physical space, Room generates early and late acoustic energy that provides the spatial and phase cues needed to create an “idealized” room impression.

We sampled, analyzed, and carefully recreated the original filter, echos, and spring reverb pre-owned, modified, and used by the legendary Osbourne Ruddock “King Tubby” – producer, studio engineer, and pioneer of dub reggae from the golden era of the 70s – from Alborosie’s personal vintage gear collection.
