Start Mixing Your Tracks in Logic Pro X with the some of the World’s Best Free 3rd Party Plugins! In this course, we show you official places to safely download our favourite FREE Industry Standard 3rd party plugins and how they are used. We show you over 20 of these different plugins and how to use them in a real life client mix that we are working on. By the end of the course, you’ll be able to confidently use the plugins we show you to Mix and Master your own music. We’ll be teaching the course using only FREE 3rd party plugins. We will also teach you all about the fundamentals of Compression and EQ.
Now, on each lesson, we will focus first on understanding how a particular plugin works theoretically, covering sliders, knobs and basic parameters. Then, you’ll see me use that plugin in order to solve common problems that usually present during mixing and production sessions. By the end of this course, you should be able to understand, know and apply both the plugins and the mixing concepts that will take your mixes to the next level. The ideal individual for this course is somebody who wants to write and produce his own music, whether you are an absolute beginner who’s never produced music before or a seasoned user who would like to take his working process to the next level. It’s also great for those who are just getting started with recording or even moving into Cubase from another piece of recording software.
Komplete 11 Ultimate is so huge, it’s very easy to forget about all the amazing effect plugins included in the bundle: compressors, EQ, reverbs, delays, you name it! In fact, as you’re about to find out, NI Komplete contains absolutely everything you need to create a pro-sounding mix… Before starting the mixdown, Olav explains how to best organize all the elements in your project. You learn how to get a good balance, how to use the Solid Bus Comp on your master channel, and how to EQ each element of the track using the Solid EQ (NI’s SSL EQ emulation). Then, Olav shows how he uses the Supercharger XT plugin to add analog warmth and subtle saturation to the mix. The next section is all about creating depth and space. This is where you learn about the lush-sounding RC24 and RC28 reverbs (emulations of very famous Lexicon hardware units) and the extremely versatile Replica XT delay plugin. Continuing with the course, you will also discover more compressors (Vari Comp, VC 2A, VC 76, and VC 160), the Transient Master, the multi-FX Molekular, why Guitar Rig is not made exclusively for guitars, and more…
While Adobe Audition is an incredibly powerful and versatile application, you can strengthen and extend its built-in capabilities with third-party plugins. In this course, Paul Murphy shares some of his favorite plugins, when to use them, and most importantly, how they can significantly enhance and accelerate your audio post-production work. Explore how to repair audio with iZotope RX and leverage a selection of key plugins—including Trash 2, which you can use to add distortion to sounds—for creative sound design. Plus, learn how to work with some of the tools and features in Neutron, the mixing plugin from iZotope.
