PHA-979 is a professional audio AU and VST plugin which allows you to apply an arbitrary phase shift to sound material. What is meant by the phase shift here is simultaneous shifting of all frequencies across the active frequency range of the signal by the given value in degrees. This is achieved by linear-phase design. PHA-979 is useful during mixing sessions, especially when working with the sound material recorded through an array of microphones. In many cases this allows you to solve various phasing problems arising from the microphone placement chosen during the tracking session. In other cases this process may help you to align drums and other instruments to each other bringing punch and time coherence not attainable by the ordinary time-aligning alone. Beside the phase shifting, PHA-979 features positive and negative time delaying that eliminates the need to move in-track events in the sequencer when doing time alignment over any set of recorded tracks. PHA-979 also provides mid/side channel balance and panning controls that permit you to record stereo microphone pairs into a single stereo track without resorting to dual mono recording (on separate tracks) which usually becomes time-consuming in a further editing.
KR-Space is a modular multi-effect plug-in which can produce a multitude of different types of effects, from traditional echoes and reverbs, to very complex soundscapes, modulation and filtering effects, resonating echoes and reflections, saturation effects and other types of unusual effects. To achieve this wide range of effect creation KR-Space uses a proprietary design and a flexible modular architecture where the different available modules can be switched on and off or routed in various combinations allowing more flexibility in effect design. The modular architecture also allows more efficient CPU utilization since only the modules that are switched on contribute to the CPU overhead. KR-Space introduces the Animated Object Space Emulator (AOSE) where the user has control over a number of spherical objects which are placed in the virtual environment and affect the sound output in a multitude of ways. These objects have various user controlled characteristics like size, resonance, oscillation frequency, reflection characteristics, etc. and can be animated (moved) in the virtual environment affecting the sound output. Additionally, the main reverberation engine features separate damping controls for early and late reflections allowing more detail filtering control, thus expanding the total range of available effects. It also introduces KResearch’s Asymmetric Reflection Scheme for more realistic reverb and echoes creation.
LSRA has released LVLMeter, a free stereo vintage level meter plug-in for 32- and 64-bit Windows and Mac OSX (VST and AU).
PHAEDRA is a ZG/XFONIC Kontakt Player 2 virtual instrument featuring over 4 gigabytes of sounds, 20,000 samples and 720 patches. This is the ultimate virtual analogue synth. Unhappy with the lack of raw sonic power in virtual emulations of VSTi analog synths, producer Sam Spacey set out on a three year journey to make the ultimate synth and ended up creating a monster in PHAEDRA. Constructed with the same attention to detail as a huge orchestral sample library, each of the 20,000 samples has been edited and looped by hand, with loops being very long so as to extract that lovely random analog magic. Nearly every single preset has each separate note sampled so as to eliminate aliasing within the instrument’s range. With Kontakt 2’s engine being fully exploited we have produced a library that is a full synthesizer in its own right.
Panipulator gives you four simple controls to let you quickly check your mix in different mono configurations. If you ever plan on your mixes being played beyond your own studio, it’s almost guaranteed that it will play through a system that is configured incorrectly. Panipulator lets you hear what your mix will sound like on these systems and catch the issues that may be hiding in your stereo mix before it is released to the public. Even though you spent considerable time and effort getting your mix to sound amazing on your monitors, there is still one very important question: What will it sound like playing at a theme park? or at the dentists office? or on your old radio? What if they wired one of the speakers backwards?
Visualizer is a comprehensive and flexible FFT audio analyser designed to allow access to a full range of audio analysis views via a single resizable interface, using a unique intelligent window system to manage the controls and screen layout.
