    Transatlantic: Plate Reverb

    Team GUiSEPPE | 10 February 2026 | 204 MB

    PLATFORM: 64Bit – AU/VST2

New standard in Plate Reverb plug-ins modeled from the finest analog plates of Europe and The U.S. With 24 independent decay settings, and reverb tails that remain un-manipulated, preserving the natural sustain and stereo spread of the actual analog giants. Our Goal: was to make the absolute best recreations of the most legendary studio reverb plates that were produced in both Europe and in the USA in the 1960’s and 70’s. We had access to the finest possible examples of these 600+ lb analog giants as well as a top notch technical staff to get them in like-new condition. The plates were tuned and serviced inside, and out to optimize the performance and even surpass the original specs in some cases. We were actually able to acquire a six second decay time from our European plate…that’s a full second more than the original specification!

This release of mine has recently been updated, and 10 taped plate reverbs which were ‘resampled’ onto and off of reel to reel tapes were added! I used 3 different decks at different speeds, providing some variety in tone. These do sound different from the main plate programs and in many cases you’ll probably prefer them! Here we have 2 more plate reverbs, sampled in stereo and with adjustable damper controls. The first one (I’ve named it Mercury) is another example of the most famous plate ever made (the same plate model I sampled four of for PoL 1 and 2). It’s the stereo model with the solid state amp, which I’ve already done two of (one each in PoL 1 and 2), but this one sounds very different from those two. As explained in more detail in the manual different plates even of the same model can sound very different, for a multitude of reasons.

This release of mine has recently been updated, and 7 taped plate reverbs which were ‘resampled’ onto and off of reel to reel tapes were added! I used 3 different decks at different speeds, to provide a nice range of variety in the tone. These do sound different from the main plate programs and in many cases you’ll probably prefer them! Plate reverbs- legendary for their sound, originally conceived as an alternative to real echo-chambers, but still used well after the advent of digital reverb by many, for the magic that only they can impart. That’s what this series of Nebula reverbs is all about. There have been at least a few makes and models of plates over the years, but there is one that has been hailed by some as the king of all reverbs, and that is the one we will kick this series off with. Two of these plates have been sampled and realized through the power of Nebula, and are now destined to be key tools in your sonic arsenal. No two plates are going to sound exactly the same, especially when they may be over half a century old. The manual goes into more detail about why plates even of the same model may sound different. Because these plates are mechanical/electronic hybrid devices, there is probably more variation between your average two examples of this classic reverb than there is between any two examples of a well known ‘vintage’ compressor or EQ. For us this is a great thing, because it means more flavors for us to use!

    SP140 Plate Reverb WiN

    Team R2R | 07 November 2025 | 69.6MB

The SP140 is a faithful recreation of five famous examples of the revered German steel plate reverb units, first introduced in 1957 and used ubiquitously on your favorite recordings throughout the 1960’s and 70’s, and even up until today. Powered by Gorilla Engine, and made in collaboration with Numerical Sound, the SP140 includes classic functionality, like a pre-delay control, send width, a filter section with high- and low-pass filters, as well as a shapable node, tail length control from a full 6 seconds down to a mere 20ms (much shorter than an analog unit) and a mix control with a convenient solo switch to preview only the reverberation. But the SP140 also sports some new twists to the original, like a 5-position density control that ranges from full-bodied plate sounds to a light, transparent wash without reducing the fullness of the reverb. Additionally, the drive feature gives you a classic tube-style distortion that you can apply pre- or post-reverb, and the high- and low-pass drive set screws allow you to place the distortion exactly where you want in the frequency spectrum. And finally, choose from a list of twenty carefully crafted presets that range from classic references to modern, or even abstract examples.

    GF240 Plate Reverb WiN

    Team R2R | 07 November 2025 | 61.9MB

Introducing the GF240 gold foil plate reverb, a faithful recreation of five units of the deep and haunting EMT 240 gold foil plate reverb, first introduced in 1971. Following the success of the famous 140 steel plate reverb, German manufacturer, EMT, released the model 240 gold foil plate, which sported a much smaller form factor and with a distinct character all its own. Like its real world analog, the Iconic Instruments GF240 is a followup to the Iconic Instruments SP140 steel plate reverb (modeled after the the original EMT 140), and both plugins share the exact same layout and feature set. Powered by Gorilla Engine, and made in collaboration with Numerical Sound, the GF240 includes classic functionality, like a pre-delay control, send width, a filter section with high- and low-pass filters, as well as a shapable node, tail length control from a full 6 seconds down to a mere 20ms (much shorter than an analog unit) and a mix control with a convenient solo switch to preview only the reverberation.
