Styled as virtual 500-Series format modules, the bundle includes the EQ500 and DYN500, channel EQ and dynamics VST plugins. The DYN500 provides soft-knee compression, and a gentle ‘tape saturation’ style overdrive when driven at high levels. The EQ500 provides a versatile three band parametric EQ, using our Analogue Filter Modelling algorithms to accurately replicate a natural sounding analogue filter response without requiring high sample rates or CPU intensive upsampling, allowing more plugin instances in a typical DAW. The FC70 emulates the legendary smooth, effortless dynamic control and uniquely musical character of the classic Fairchild 670 limiter. Modelled using measured data and schematics from genuine hardware, the FC70 uses a fully balanced design, combined with innovative delay-free feedback topology to emulate the original circuitry. The sidechain includes the fast attack and program dependent release settings of the original, combined with Lateral / Vertical, Independent and Linked stereo channel modes.
sforzando is a free, highly SFZ 2.0 compliant sample player. Advanced sample hobbyists now have a powerful tool to experiment and share instruments without relying on proprietary formats. sforzando has only one instrument slot; no fancy UI, effects or mixers. Every tweak has to be done at the SFZ file level, no cheating! sforzando is also a name given for a sudden change in music dynamics which, in musical notation, is represented by the “sfz” symbol. Free As In Free Me From Proprietary Formats The SFZ Format is widely accepted as the open standard to define the behavior of a musical instrument from a bare set of sound recordings. Being a royalty-free format, any developer can create, use and distribute SFZ files and players for either free or commercial purposes. So when looking for flexibility and portability, SFZ is the obvious choice. That’s why it’s the default instrument file format used in the ARIA Engine.
Chipcrusher is an advanced bitcrusher, a speaker simulator and noise machine. It’s an audio effect which plays back input audio through a simulation of early lofi digital audio codecs (DAC Encoding), adds grit (Background Noise), and outputs through a selection of speaker and filter impulse responses (Post-Processing).
It’s a dedicated, integrated & powerful multi-platform generative music editor, mixer, arranger and cell sequencer; and it includes the Partikl Sound Engine, a flexible modular synth with live FX and support for Soundfonts (SF2). Use it for fun, or to to generate high quality, user-customisable, royalty free background music from ambient (relaxation / drone / sleep / meditation etc.) right through to more intense melodic and beat-based mashups. No musical knowledge is required, but as a serious and deep tool it’s also ideal for amateur musicians to composers. That said, as with any power tool, the more you learn about it and how to use it, the more you can get out of it and do with it!
Design, develop and even share your own fascinating generative music soundscapes with Noatikl (pronounced “noh – tickle”), a powerful MIDI music creativity application for both Desktop and Mobile. It lets you control a powerful and generative Noatikl (MIDI) Music Engine (NME) which utilises a range of generative / aleatoric / stochastic / algorithmic music techniques and parameters. For sound design and generation you can use an integrated & advanced modular synth + live FX network called the Partikl Sound Engine (PSE), or use the MIDI data to drive external 3rd party MIDI synths samplers and FX units.
