Hammr Growler is the filthy brother of the not particularly demure Hammr+ and a part of the Hammr Suite, a classic tonewheel organ sample set developed with Oasis/Sheryl Crow keyboard player Mikey Rowe and recorded by genius Andy Britton at the very lovely Toyroom Studios here in Brighton.The Growler is a 3GB monster that captures from 4 mic positions the full tilt sound of Mikeys favourite 888000000 setting on his 1959 B3 through a cranked up Leslie cabinet, and frankly it is one heck of a sound !

Iron Pack #10 was created by field recording actual mating calls of a pair of rare giant GalapagosTortoises at an animal sanctuary in Texas. These natural reptilian vocalizations were captured in great detail, yielding 4 dynamic layers and an average of 8 round-robin variations, edited and programmed it all into playable “tuned percussion” and looping sustain instruments. Next, various sound design techniques were used to resonate, stretch, warp and sculpt the raw source into an array of 33 unique musical ambiences, atmospheric textures, drones and pads. The organic turtle sounds are useful for monster sfx design, while the ambiences are designed for dark soundscape creation, dramatic underscoring, layering and building inventive melodic instruments. The library also includes interface controls to shape tone and performance and custom room & fx impulse selection.

Pure continues the theme of pads, but with Pure we delve into the world of nice and pure sounds. With Pure we’ve included rhythmic loops. Pure comes with 170 non Rhythmic patches and 121 Rythmic patches. We tried the sounds of Pure and Dark with rhythms and thought they sounded really good, so we’ve included loops and we intend to expand on the loops to complement the pads. Initially both Dark and Pure will start out like Pads, around 3GB in size. The trilogy of Pads, Dark and Pure and our ongoing updates, all 3 libraries will continue to grow in size, just like Pads has now grown to around 8GB in size.
