The Brush Kit contains 208 samples from a 5-piece drumset. The kit consists of a kick drum, snare drum, hihats, and two rack toms, a ride cymbal, a crash cymbal, and a splash cymbal. The drumset was mic’d with a pair of overhead microphones, and the kick, snare, were also mic’d “close”. In addition to all this, a microphone was placed in an adjacent room to capture some ambiance for the kick drum, hi-hats, and toms. In this virtual rendition, you can switch these mics on and off, as well as adjust their relative levels and panning for each part of the drum kit.
