Hybrid Scoring Collection: STRINGS is the first instalment in our new range of instruments for Kontakt.  The first of it’s kind, this library combines not only orchestral textures but more modern instruments such as guitars, bass, mandolin and a wide range of custom designed effects. ​This inspirational library is perfect for creating lush and delicate textures, as well as mean and gritty cinematic flavours which will bring your music to life. Hybrid Scoring Collection: Strings has a custom designed interface with many parameters for shaping your sound. We wanted to blur the lines between natural instruments and analogue effects to create an inspiring and intuitive way of working. The interface is made up of two sections, the main engine and the effects engine. In the centre of the main tab you will find the DESTROY knob which you can activate by clicking the title and either using your mod wheel or mouse to control it. This adds a deep, gritty distortion to the instrument which is perfect for increasing the intensity of your sound. The main tab also includes parameters for volume, pan, pitch, attack, sustain, release, high pass/low pass filters each with a cut off and resonance knob.

Cinematic Rhythms is a library developed in Kontakt 4, This library was created and designed for the use of sounds in the Music for Film and Game area. Sounds are included to be helpful for Suspense, Cinematic, Soundtrack and Hybrid genres of composition. Cinematic Rhythms User Interface has been designed for a easy and friendly way of navigating through Effects which can be used on the sounds in the library. We have scripted some effects on the UI for easy access straight from a click on the UI that will be useful to experiment with when using the sounds from Cinematic Rhythms. We have also included a View Waveform which show you the sample of specific instruments mainly for our Tonal loops and some of our FX patches. The waveform will include a line which follows the waveform that shows you the slices of the rhythm that Kontakt is using and also it will show you where you are in the Sample when it is playing. Cinematic Rhythms is made from many core features which hold a lot of instruments per category.

WELCOME TO THE MODERN BASS

This library is a detailed emulation of a hi-end 5-string “studio custom” bass from the famous Canadian company F-Bass. We’d characterize its sound as the embodiment of a deep fundamental bass, coupled with excellent clarity. We recorded 12 dynamic layers for each fret of each string with different playing techniques and articulations. The playing techniques in one patch: fingered, slap, palm-mute and additional articulations – allow you to conveniently and quickly edit your midi notation or play in real-time. We have minimized the use keyswitches, making the instrument simple and intuitive to use. A sophisticated algorithm to select strings in real time, automatically selects the natural bass guitar left-hand position on the fretboard. Manual string and position selection are also available.

Memory Box features articulations such as bowing, muted plucks, double stops and a variety of designed instruments which redefine the sound of a classic music box. Inspired by a traditional 19th century Swiss music box, this library features 10 custom instruments which are all housed within the main interface. Recorded with high end contact microphones on multiple surfaces, we aimed to capture the intimate and fragile tone but with a modern twist. To enhance the flexibility of the instruments, we have included 10 impulse responses, multiple round robins, separate controls for mechanical noises, attack, damp and grit.
