YOHIOloid is VOCALOID3 English and Japanese bilingual male developed by PowerFX and VocaTone. YOHIOloid is voiced by the Swedish singer YOHIO. Released in 10 September 2013. Yohioloid was not a normal PowerFX Vocaloid release and as a result, YOHIOloid is the first PowerFX VOCALOID who is not confirmed to be a “monster-themed” VOCALOID. The design was picked by YOHIO himself so the final concept was driven by YOHIO’s own personal preference. His working name of “YOHIOloid” is taken from his provider “YOHIO” and ‘loid’ from “VOCALOID”. “YOHIO” itself is taken from YOHIO’s middle name “Johio”.

Megurine Luka (巡音ルカ), codenamed CV03, is a Japanese VOCALOID. flower (フラワ) is a Japanese VOCALOID developed and distributed by the YAMAHA Corporation, and was created in collaboration with HoneyWorks. She was updated to the VOCALOID4 engine in July 2015. flower’s V4 design was originally used by the artist, Miwasiba, in July 2014. The appearance was originally done as fanart by the artist and was a “shota” version of flower. The official flower twitter account noted that the new VOCALOID4 design was the “short haired” version of flower, while the original VOCALOID3 version was the “long haired” version of the same character.

Yuezheng Longya (Simplified Chinese: 乐正龙牙; Traditional Chinese: 樂正龍牙) is an upcoming Chinese VOCALOID4 to be developed by Shanghai HENIAN Co. Ltd. Longya was a runner up entry to the first “VOCALOID™ CHINA” contest in 2012 which was held for choosing the design of the first Chinese VOCALOID and he was a Vsinger supporting character for three years. In July 2015, he was confirmed to receive a VOCALOID voicebank. He was voiced by the Chinese singer and voice actor, Jie Zhang (张杰; Zhāng Jié), who was selected based on suggestions from Chinese VOCALOID fans. Planned for release in 2017. Longya have 2 voicebanks: normal and soft.

The new engine allows the importation of Vocaloid 2 and Vocaloid 3 vocals, though Vocaloid 2 vocals must have already been imported into Vocaloid 3 for this to work. The new engine includes other features, but not all of them are accessible by Vocaloid 2 and Vocaloid 3 vocals. One of the new features is a “Growl” feature which allows vocals built for Vocaloid 4 to take on a growl-like property in their singing results. Cross-synthesis was also added, allowing the user to switch between two of a character’s vocals built for the same language smoothly using a time-varying parameter. This feature is accessible by Vocaloid 3 and Vocaloid 4 vocals, but not Vocaloid 2. Another feature included is Pitch Rendering, which all imported vocals can use. This displays the effective pitch curve on the user interface. Finally, real-time input has been included in this version and is another feature which all vocals can use.
