This version of our library was not ported from GS2, this is a totally reprogrammed from the ground up library, the addition of almost unlimited dimensions in GS3 permits now 32 transition velocities instead of the 16 in GS2, what this translates into for the users is much smoother transitions from one velocity to another specially in the softer velocities where special attention was given to ensure better response when playing very softly. Obviously 24 bits does sound better and will cut through a mix easier when mixed in with other instruments. As in the other version of the library you get 3 recorded perspectives, Ambient, Close Miked and Player Perspective in 12 recorded velocities (32 transition velocities) with Release Samples and Pedal Noises Fx.

What is the Fatso? Well the Fatso is a fantastic tone-sweetening box. Harmonic thickening and tape-like saturation are easily created using its simple controls. The unit used for this pack is a modded Fatso… Called the UBK Fatso. The compression settings have been tweaked by Greg at Kush Audio. So this wonderful unit has been used to impart it’s analog goodness upon 5 vintage synths. The Moog MG-1, Korg Delta, Roland JX3P, Ensoniq ESQ1 and the Yamaha DX100. The result is some tasty sampled instruments just brimming with personality and old school character. This pack is compatible with EXS-24 and Kontakt 3 (full retail version) Most of the instruments are multi-sampled. Only the single cycle oscillator patches are not. Every synth has passed through the UBK Fatso to give you that super sweet analog tone!

We then took this material into the studio and with a whole lot of granular synthesis, resampling, some math and a little bit of voodoo we transformed them into a gorgeous set of playable musical instruments for your Reason rack that are oozing with character and unlike anything else on the planet.
