Gong Amp takes an exciting experimental amplifier from the beginnings of electronic music to the plugin world of today. In 1932, Maurice Martenot was looking for a way to make his groundbreaking proto-synthesizer “Ondes” audible beyond what could be archived with the horns and loudspeakers of the time. He developed a set of “diffuseurs”, of which the “Métallique” was one. Instead of a paper cone or horn, Martenot put a gong behind the amplifier circuitry. This seemingly simple idea resulted in resonances and brilliant overtones that excite audiences to this day.
Complexer 2 is a multi-stage dynamics processor, featuring three independently controlled dynamics processors, each with a choice of six different modes. Each of the three processors can be configured as an upward or downward compressor, an upward or downward expander, a limiter, or a gate. Complexer 2 offers four different arrangements for processing: serial/parallel chaining, stereo, mid/side, and multiband. Complexer 2 is a dynamics powerhouse, letting you take complete control of your track.
DeeQ is a single-band dynamic EQ filter that automatically adjusts the parameters of the EQ based on the incoming envelope or an external sidechain.
Lowtility is a stereo tool designed to control the low end of your mix. It features a variable-slope low pass filter, along with a separate section for finely tuning the stereo width of the bass frequencies. With the with stereo meters, you can visualise how the left and right channels interact, making sure you don’t have any phase-cancellation issues.
Maximal 2 is a loudness maximiser, featuring an advanced lookahead peak limiter and analogue modelled saturation. The multi-stage limiter section features next-level lookahead, automatic makeup gain, and adaptive and responsive release. This plugin will smoothly limit any peaks in the audio, and automatically increase the overall level. The analogue modelled tape and tube saturation modes encompass all the best parts of the analogue world, without all the bad parts – such as high-frequency roll-off, hiss, wow and flutter. Using our adaptive release technology, you can simply tell Maximal 2 whether you want the limiter to be fast and loud, or slow and transparent, and it will do what’s needed inside. You can use Maximal 2 to catch rampant peaks in an audio recording, or you can use it to make your track phat and loud – it’s up to you how you push it.
