Class A, solid state stereo equalizer which can be considered a “secret weapon” due to the similarity with the legendary Pultec in the lower band controls. EXeQ sounds very transparent and clean, with crisp transients and a solid bottom end. The passive coil filter is subtle but surprisingly effective, and it will definitely appeal to digital phobics, the top end sheen it bestows can be quite addictive. The original unit, the New Mastering Edition, has been modified to extend the gain control, making it useful for both mixing and mastering.
