PlexiTape is a faithful analog modeled simulation of the *Maestro® Echoplex® EP-3™ vintage tape echo that made THE SOUND of the ’70s for its tone and reliability. We put special care on modelling this unit on every aspect: motor, tape, FET preamplifier, heads and even the infamous “Sound On Sound”. SOS allows you to use bypass the echo and therefore use the tape as a looping recorder. Furthermore, we expanded it with new features including a full stereo double delay line, tempo sync and more.
(ProSamples Platinum Series Vol.2). Plug-in Virtual Sound Module powered by a Custom High – Performance Native Instruments Audio Engine (VST 2.0, DXi, ASIO, AU, RTAS, Mac & PC). This unbelievably flexible groove instrument features a library of breaks with irresistible feel and compelling usability, which, although they derive their feel and sonic basis from live drumming technique, are very creatively processed, and were performed by one of four featured drummers (Emre Ramazanoglu or Dave Westlake, with contributions from Jack Yglesias and Steve Ashmore). The recordings were made in London at Metropolis, Padded Cell, Walworth Cage, Triangle, and Line of Flight. This project was conceived as a much more powerful alternative to “genre-based” sample libraries, offering sample-accurate live drum loops with an equal emphasis on diversity of sound through extremely creative processing techiques, but with the real feel of a human performance. Many performances changes and evolve, providing multiple loop variations. Real kits are the foundation of the sound of each break, although some incorporate additional live triggered analog drum machines or software triggered sounds. Each bar of each break has been designed to loop perfectly as a 1 bar break (sample accurate BPM), or as part of the whole evolving sequence. Emre Ramazanoglu is a London Based session drummer and producer whose recent credits include The Prodigy, William Orbit, Tricky, Bobby Gillespie, Tom Middleton and Sikth. Dave Westlake is the drummer with the Sneaker Pimps and session drummer for Medieval Babes amongst others.
Inspired by 4-track cassette recorders, SketchCassette II is designed to introduce a wide array of lo-fi effects into your mixes. From subtle warble to unearthed-from-the-attic destruction, SketchCassette II unlocks the full range of cheap tape sounds, while also offering the flexibility and control to push your sounds even further into total lofi weirdness.
Inspired by SketchCassette’s NR Comp algorithm, ShapeShifter is a one-of-a-kind dynamics remodeler and character compressor that will completely transform the shape of your sounds. ShapeShifter molds a blend of multi-band upward and downward compression into a toolbox for adding color, body, and grit to your sounds. This can take the form of anything from a subtle vibe boost to blown-open, raucous carnage.
Audio Plugin Player is a lightweight VST and AU instrument plug-in host for Mac OS X that allows you to play these instruments using either your mouse, computer keyboard, or MIDI device (both hardware and software MIDI devices supported). It has a simple, one-screen interface, that will let you start making music with your favorite audio instrument plug-ins in seconds – just choose your plug-in, make your input and output choices, and you’re ready.
Obelisk is a MIDI instrument designed to make it easy to experiment with harmonies. Being only MIDI, it can connect to any synth that you like. As you play keys into Obelisk, each note will be harmonised with the intervals that you pick. As well as this, Obelisk can be set to constrain all output to a given key and scale meaning it will be guaranteed to fit the rest of your music. As well as the core features, Obelisk has many aspects designed to make it a pleasure to use, such as a resizable GUI, loads of chord and scale presets, and the ability to make your own chords or scales. After hovering over a control for a moment, Obelisk will show popup tool-tips explaining the function of the control.
