Dear Reality is a German software company that specializes in spatial audio technology and Virtual Acoustics. With a strong background in sound engineering, the founders of Dear Reality have delivered on their vision to provide the best sounding 3-D audio technology to all kinds of next-generation audio production environments. They are supported by an excellent team of sound designers, software developers and game designers. True three-dimensional sound is the future of audio production. It opens up a new world of possibilities, like the ability to create a full sense of presence and immersion. The dearVR 3D audio reality engine enables ultra-realistic acoustic virtualization. Compatible with any pair of headphones, it creates a realistic, three-dimensional sound space around the listener. Just as in a real-world soundscape, one will hear sound sources with a genuine perception of directional reference, distance and room acoustics.

VSE-4 v1.0.235 U2B macOS

Team HCiSO | 01 March 2025 | 220.7 MB

The VSE-4 plugin is inspired by the musical sound of the VSE-2 EQ, but presents its own unique sonic identity, integrated in a highly flexible user interface concept. With a fully parametric and modular design and its unique Saturation and FM Drive controls, the VSE-4 provides precise and musical EQing with analog sound, as well as exceptional control over the nonlinear behaviour of the filters. This enables the creation of more complex frequency-based distortion effects. The nonlinear filter circuits have been meticulously tuned and digitally modelled to give each of the 13 filter types its own sonic character. Combined with the Overdrive module there are even more options to create rich overtones or heavy distortion.

bx_pulsar v1.0.1 macOS

Team HCiSO | 31 July 2025 | 55.49 MB

bx_pulsar is new flagship creative delay plugin, a versatile creative powerhouse with the immediacy and sonic quality of a go-to processing plugin. Five core delay modes put a galaxy of delay style and color options right at your fingertips, while a flexible 8-step delay sequencer, multiple stereo modes, built-in sidechain ducking, freeze and groove controls provide the ideal toolset for producers and musicians wanting to explore the outer reaches of modern delay.

Tetrad v1.0.2 MAC

Team HCiSO | 19 August 2025 | 6.8MB

Tetrad is a hybrid instrument based on physical modelling and granular synthesis. A unique quad bus signal chain feeds 4 modelled plates alongside a full modulation matrix, creating a soundscape that rewards experimentation. Tetrad is like no other synth you’ve ever used. The plugin takes four oscillators, routes them in combination through a Quad AM processor that works like a pseudo-sequencer, a specifically tailored Granulator, and four physically modelled plate resonators. Inspired by Gadi’s sculpture-based synth installation, as heard on the album Modes of Vibration, Tetrad was originally devised as a complement to the slashed plates and sound generators of the experimental setup, but has grown into a plugin instrument that puts the capabilities of the installation into a single piece of software in a DAW.

Preparation 2 v2.1.3 MAC

Team HCiSO | 19 August 2025 | 6.8MB

Preparation 2 creates a virtual world of augmented strings using our latest physical modelling techniques. Two strings collide with a rattle and a dynamic fret to deliver a rich palette of acoustic timbres, from unique instruments to experimental soundscapes.

Preparation v1.1.8 MAC

Team HCiSO | 19 August 2025 | 7.92 MB

Preparation is a physical modelling instrument based on nonlinear models of strings and collisions. Physical modelling of prepared strings Preparation is based on mathematical modelling of 2 basic elements; strings which can be configured as bars, and a rattling element. Each voice has a pair of strings connected by a rattle that reacts to the vibrations at each end. This uses the latest research in collision modelling to calculate the acoustic system in real-time. The strings have parameters for nonlinearity, inharmonicity, sustain and tone. The rattle has controls for the mass at each end, the gap from the strings, the stiffness, edginess, strength and its position. A low shelf EQ, overdrive and reverb units complete the signal chain, giving a wide range of sounds from cutting leads to epic soundscapes. See this tutorial post for further details.
