PhaseThree is a detailed model of the MuTron Bi-Phase, with all the lovely sound of that unit (along with its foibles and quirks.) It is worth noting that, due to aging factors, no two Bi-Phase hardware units sound alike; we found the best and most tuneful one we could lay our hands on, bought it for a faintly ridiculous price, and took it apart to see what made it tick. Like you do. The result is a painstaking digital copy of the original unit, down to the unique sweep of its LFOs. With the latest version, we have departed from the original and added 12-stage phasors in addition to the six-stage versions found in the hardware units. (We feel that 12-stage phasors have a more modern sound that people expect in a current phasor, and that the six-stage versions in the original were somewhat lacking to the modern palette.)
LA xLimit III is an advanced look ahead, wideband linked-stereo limiter including ISP (inter sample peak) detection and oversampling. LA xLimit III is the successor of LA xLimit II, our very popular look ahead limiter. It offers more control over transients and adaptive release curves. It adds now extended metering (RMS, EBU and DialNorm). The goal of the design was to cover a broad range of limiting applications in today’s mixing and mastering situations with strong focus on low aliasing. Design LA xLimit III is specifically designed for mastering, digital editing, multimedia, and any application that requires limiting of the digital signal with top notch quality and lowest aliasing. LA xLimit III guarantees ultra fast and overshot free response by using advanced look ahead algorithms. In order to fulfill today’s TV, broadcast and music production requirements LA xLimit III offers True-Peak limiting (ISP) based on ITU-1770 specification and on top of it up to 8x “real” oversampling.
Impress is a wideband stereo compressor including side-chaining, various prefilter options and state-of-the-art over sampling. The goal of the design was to cover a broad range of compression applications in today’s mixing and mastering situations with strong focus on low aliasing. So, Impress could be used to shape subtle a snare sound, glue different tracks on instrument bus and even do complex tasks like deessing or voice over’s.
ADverb2 is a full update of our classic ADverb (originally named “c”) vintage digital plate reverb. We took the DSP code from the original, greatly expanded the maximum decay time, and created versions for all popular plugin platforms.
AMM is a 32to2 channel automatic microphone mixer. It offers several advanced mix modes and extensive controls for each channel. AMM can be used to mix quickly a discussion round, a dialog with several speakers or even an audio conference with up to 16 microphones to a stereo signal. AMM supports multiple channel configurations, from mono up to 16 stereo channels, depending on the DAW capabilities.
The 354E is a multiband model of the most famous vintage diode bridge compressor, the Neve 2254E, precisely replicating its distinctive behavior and rich sonic character in each of its three bands. But in practical use, the 354E really is two compressors in one: Turn on its Nuke mode to radically shape individual tracks, and turn it off for lighter, more nuanced compression when mastering or for surgical mixing. Both modes yield the same lush coloration and smooth presence that made the 2254E one of the most revered and highly sought after compressors in the world. The 354E is one of the very best plugins you can use to compress drums, electric guitars, and rock vocals. Unlike its single-banded cousin, the 254E, three independent compression bands (Low, Mid and High), powerful Nuke mode, and Niveau and highpass sidechain filters let you dramatically reshape tracks for maximum size, punch and bottom-end weight. And with an adjustable attack time as fast as 2µsec (two millionths of a second), the 354E is one of the fastest compressors available, capable of shaping sounds in extreme ways most other compressors can only dream of.
