Classic algorithmic reverb plugins use a combination of short feedbacking delays to create the illusion of reverberation. These delays cause unwanted metallic resonances and sharp spikes in the reverb’s frequency response. The denise team challenged themselves to create something better – a perfect room – and invented their TXVerb technology. Using this technology, the denise Perfect Room doesn’t use delays for the tail and will enhance the character and colouration of any audio you run through it in an extremely natural way, sounding defined and tight from the lowest kick all the way up to the highest vocal.

HC38 Headphone Calibrator lets the user match the sound of their headphones to that of their studio monitors. It is ideal for field work, when studio monitors are not present, or to mix using headphones. It works by simulating several aspects of monitoring in a room environment. The user can adjust crossfeed, sound absorption, and room reflection. Crossfeed is the merging of the sound coming from each speaker. The amount of crossfeed can be adjusted by choosing from three approximate speaker distances (3′, 5′, and 7′) and fine-tuned using the crossfeed fader. What’s truly unique about the HC38 is its capability to simulate the room environment. The user can select from 6 representative flooring and room treatment materials that affect the way the sound is absorbed and reflected. It also has the basic hi-pass and lo-pass filters so one can make adjustments based on the frequency response graph provided by the headphone manufacturer.

XCTR is a multi band harmonic exciter based on our Head Crusher saturation. Harmonic exciters can give a shine to certain frequencies in the mix. NUSofting Pals may be effectively used both to increase fatness of Lead sounds or to emulate a wide ensemble using pads or plucked sounds. The modulation for all effect voices is provided by 4 LFOs, each LFO has its own phase and rate values plus one LFO has the phase modulated, that ensures a rich and varied modulation of the voices. VariAmnt adjust the depth of the modulation for all voices. For Lead sounds small amounts of Size and Time are preferred, where for Pads you may use the full range. For saturated sound increase OutGain, that will also boost the volume and is not reccomended for high pitched sounds. When OutGain is turned hard left the volume is zero. When Stereo is turned hard left the output is mono. NUSofting Pals may also be used both to turn a mono sound into stereo or to turn a stereo sound into mono.

Pile on the pulsewaves, detune to all buggery, slap over an 8-pole LPF and hoov away, sunshine. I even made some presets for this one…
