This Kumu Birch Custom kit likes to be played loud and in fact it sounds so good loud, we actually left out all the ghost notes and medium hits. This is metal, not jazz. The kit was inspired by the modern metal heavyweights such as Meshuggah, Periphery, Animals As Leaders, & Born Of Osiris to name a few.
Aroma is a newly developed Harmonic Processor creating analog charm in an unprecedented musical way. The four valve or tape like units add elegance to your audio material. Primarily designed for mastering, Aroma can also create astonishing changes to the character of vocals and instruments. The additional Mid/Side processing options allow a decent and smooth fine tuning of the stereo base you won’t get from any other software or hardware. We refrained from names like “tape simulation” or “valve” for the processing units. Though Aroma’s refinements are loosely related to such analog models – Aroma’s variety is far beyond. The flavour controls relate to a wide variety of beauty, warmth and attractiveness. Aroma not only adds elegance to your music, Aroma makes it shine, sounding simply sensational.
While making a lot of different compression styles possible, it’s general nature may be described as: clear, smooth, open, distinct.The main goal while designing DC8C was to get a very clean compressor action without unwanted and often almost unevitable artefacts/distortion. This way you can achieve almost invisible compression for your most demanding mastering sessions, when you want to avoid coloration. If you aim for colour you can choose between two saturation models. From opto style, peak compression, RMS compression, Feedback, Feedforward compression (and everything inbetween) to negative ratios, zero latency brickwall limiting, from snappy transient treatment to smooth transient rounding – everything is possible.
