DeEdger introduces a new way of reducing the hardness of audio signals without negatively altering the original signal qualities. The plugin operates in a threshold free manner, thus can comfortably handle any input signal level, type, and dynamic range. Where other plugins might under or over process, DeEdger only applies processing if any hardness is detected. Once detected, the hardness will be smoothed with remarkable elegance. After its initial setup, DeEdger can be left in a “set and forget” configuration without further attention. Intricate time and frequency dependent mechanisms allow DeEdger to provide a very transparent process throughout. The initial concept, developed by a professional mastering engineer, focused on the demands of modern audio mastering and has also turned out to be equally useful for mixing.

The plates were tuned and serviced inside, and out to optimize the performance and even surpass the original specs in some cases. We were actually able to acquire a six second decay time from our European plate…that’s a full second more than the original specification!
Introducing Pana Natural positioning made easy. Pana – a pan knob for the human ear. Pana is a sophisticated stereo tool designed to let you do more elegant, natural audio positioning than what regular balance panning might accomplish. Panning an audio signal can be done in several ways, where the most common is to alter the volume on one channel. This is a CPU efficient way (and many times the best) to achieve a sense of positioned audio. Almost every DAW and mixing console have this feature built-in. Another way is to add a short delay to one of the channels – the Haas method. This renders a richer sound, but can also make a sound come off as somewhat unnatural. A more elegant way is to apply a low pass filter to one of the channels. This maintains the audio energy on both channels, but at the same time makes it sound positioned. This works very well on transient rich sounds like drums or other percussive instruments.
The SSL Native Channel Strip 2 Plug-in delivers the legendary tone, features and workflow of an SSL 9000K console channel strip, now featuring SSL’s proprietary ‘Anti-Cramping’ technology and external Side Chain input. The EQ section is a classic 4-band design with parametric LMF & HMF and shelving LF & HF sections (LF & HF switch to Bell). The whole EQ can be switched between E & G Series characteristics and can be applied to the dynamics side chain. The Dynamics section offers separate Compressor and Gate/Expander. The Compressor can be switched between soft and hard knee. Both the Compressor and Gate/Expander sections feature fast/slow attack switches and independent side chains.
