Logic Pro: Production & Theory Hacks

      FANTASTiC | 09 January 2021 | 385 MB

Logic wiz presents detailed Logic Pro video tutorials! Watch and see how come up with new ideas, parts and performances using numerous features and functions in Logic Pro, that all work together in the same key and tempo. No music theory knowledge is required to use these tips, techniques and hacks, and the methods shown result in interesting and creative new parts that you can use for your songs and productions. The Logic project and audio files that are used in the videos are included via the course extras link so you can follow along with your Logic system! These videos are designed for those who already have an understanding of Logic Pro. Larry welcomes you and presents the overall vision for this video series, and then jumps right in showing you how to extract the groove from a vintage drum break using the Groove Track and apply it to a pattern generated by Logic’s sequencer. Then you’ll see how to add sounds from different projects to the Apple loops library and keymap them to ensure they transpose to the key of the new project. Then you’ll learn how to add chords to the track using a combination of Chord Trigger and Transposer to create a “fool proof” patch for adding a solid harmony to the arrangement.

In this 3rd tutorial in our series on Music Theory, Master Arranger and Composer Gregg Fine explores the nature of Rhythm and why it’s the driving force in music and composition… Rhythm is at the very essence of being. Our hearts beat. We walk and run in time. The sun rises and sets. The tides ebb and flow. It’s no wonder that rhythm is at the heart of our music, too. In this tutorial Gregg Fine examines rhythm and shows us the theory behind constructing solid beats and how rhythm is used in different musical genres. Rhythm is made up of many different components. In this tutorial you’ll learn about the foundation of beats. You’ll see how rhythm is broken down into its essential components: Tempo, Measure, Note Values and Rests. You’ll learn all about Time Signatures and how they influence the pattern of strong and weak beats in a musical phrase.

The Ambient Cinematic String Theory Collection. This is truly one of those instances where something is better than the sum of its individual parts. We’ve been recording and releasing electric and acoustic guitar libraries for Kontakt for over 6 years. For the first time we have taken all of our guitar libraries and wrapped them together inside a beautiful and powerful effects engine housed inside of Kontakt. In addition to clean and dry sounds, we’ve packed in a host of sound design patches for you to use. From deep, wobbly basses to heavenly, airy pads – there’s something here for everyone. Our particular favourites are the multis, where we are brought together various pads and leads to create a complete soundscape under your fingertips. We’re quite proud of two mod-wheel multis we’ve developed. One allows you to transition from an electric guitar being plucked to being muted by just moving the mod-wheel. The other allows you to use the mod-wheel to move from an acoustic guitar being plucked to the octave harmonics being plucked. Great stuff!
