Deep House Sound Design & Mix

    FANTASTiC | 28 June 2018 | 275 MB

This class is an in depth look on the popular deep house, future house synth. First we create a three layer Bass from scratch using NI Massive, then continue onto the processing within the DAW. Hopefully this class teaches you a ton about how synth layering works in a practical way and gets you that fat sound you hear in most EDM tunes. Create your own deep house bass following my guides. Once you have the bass made I want you to tweak things and add layers to your sound to really make it your own. Remember that even though our main sound is three layers that doesn’t mean you can’t add some textures on top of it! I will post the patches as a starting point if you want to use them.

Arp Sound Design & Creating Atmosphere

    FANTASTiC | 28 June 2018 | 304 MB

This class has a few sections to it because I want to provide in depth knowledge for each topic. I start with creating an arpeggiated synth using NI Massive and ableton’s arpeggiator effect. Next is a atmospheric chord pad also using NI Massive. The next section is mixing these instruments together in an EDM style using the DAW’s audio effects. Finally I explain how layering sounds creates the size heard in EDM music. Create an arpeggiated synth with a unique rhythmic pattern. Try using different oscillators and modulation rates to get your own style. If you want to take it to the next level, mix your synth into a short loop and use noise layers and background synths to create a large atmospherics sound.

    Synthesis & Sound Design Masterclass

    P2P | 10 September 2014 | 3.24 GB

    480×270 | 30fps | 23 hours | AAC stereo 90kbps

Synthesis & Sound Design Masterclass is a monster course spanning close to 50 videos with over 22 hours of total training. It will take you from a novice or even moderately accomplished synthesist to the next level, and then to the one beyond that. We’ll take a cross platform approach to sound design, looking at techniques and tips that are common to many instruments, allowing you to get the most out of what you already have. This course is jammed full of practical knowledge, explantations, and concise breakdowns of why things work the way they do. Divided into two styles of video, each synthesis concept is explained in a “theory” video and then shown in action, in a series of “practical” videos where you get to watch a detailed construction of a high quality synth sound. These sounds are both cutting edge and classic, and are all hand crafted by Myagi on screen to give you an up-close view of each concept in action.

    Aparillo Sound Design TUTORiAL

    SYNTHiC4TE | June 19 2018 | 252 MB

Aparillo is unlike any other synthesizers. Demystify this very unique instrument in this course by synthesis expert! Aparillo is based on FM synthesis, but it’s definitely not your standard digital synth plugin. A quick look at the user interface may leave you confused… and when you switch to the Orbit tab, you will probably feel like you’ve been teleported at the control board of an alien spaceship. Thankfully, sound designer Rishab Rajan is here to demystify everything about this very special instrument! Rishabh starts the course with a quick overview of the synth. After explaining where everything is found on the interface, he dissects all the knobs, controls and panels. You learn how every parameter (Ratio, FM Index, Formant/Waveshaping, Jitter, LFOs, Envelopes, etc.) work together to create complex timbres and organic textures, all while strengthening your knowledge of FM synthesis. You also explore Aparillo’s arpeggiator (which behaves in very unique ways) and you get an in-depth look at the effect section (which includes some very unusual and great sounding filters). Rishabh ends the course by covering everything about the fascinating Orbit tab…

Sound Design for TV, Film & Games

    iLFSN | 05.05.2018 | 2.25 Hours | 1.12 GB

In this video tutorial series, sound design guru Gary Hiebner shows you what it takes to do sound design for TV, Film and Games! Gary starts by welcoming you and gives an introduction to what sound design for media such as TV, Film & Games is, plus a demo of the song that will be created in the series. Then, Gary starts at the beginning, showing you how to import video into your DAW, create hit pPoint markers, decide on a tempo, and how to find and sync sound effects to your video. Gary now shows you how to use sound effects that sync with moving animated parts in a video, followed by how to use whoosh sound effects to sync up with elements in a video, and how you can use time stretching techniques for differentiation in the sounds. You’ll then see how to use risers and build ups as sound effects, piano melody and chord progression creation, adding strings and choirs, building up the rhythm with drums and bass, adding percussion, horns, synths, swells and more! Wrapping it up, Gary walks you through creating dynamics with the mix and exporting and imbedding your audio to video, so you can supply it to the client or production team.
