PROPER NOTE: Previous peace-out relase has nag caption on the plugin name and GUI. This proper release removed all of annoying demo restrition.
DyScratch from DyVision Works is a VST instrument (VSTi) for use in modern DAW programs. It provides a producer or songwriter with the ability to create ‘scratch’ sounds / effects from their own samples or recordings without leaving the sequencer environment. Whats more, every single parameter (including the actual ‘scratch’ motion and speed) can easily be recorded, tweaked and automated using MIDI from within your VST sequencer environment. DyScratch can also be ‘played’ live using a standard MID keyboard.
MrRay73 Mark II is a digital simulation of the famous american electro-mechanical piano of the seventies, invented during World War II by a music teacher, Harold B. Rhodes (1910 – 2000), and widely used in almost all musical genres ranging from soul/black music to jazz, blues, modern and pop. This instrument has rapidly become a legend, and is still used today, altough samples have replaced the real thing so that very often music producers use huge sample libraries or hardware keyboards / workstations to achieve this kind of sonority, and often the result is a cold and ‘dead’ sound, with no vitality, no warmth, nothing that even compares to the unpredictability and genuineness of the real thing.
MyDrumset was made as a test to see if I could make such a complex drum plugin. The recording of the drums was done very quickly with only me on everything from drumming to engineering. As you can imagine that is not a perfect way to record a drum kit and if you add the fact that the drums weren’t tuned, one of the cymbals had a crack in it, the heads were old and I did everything in about 2 hours, it’s nothing even close to the sound of the Drummix line of plugins. Still, I released it as a public beta just for fun and the response has been marvellous. Not only did this plugin beat two of the well-known brands in an anonymous poll, but it also got raving user reviews and was even reviewed in Sound on Sound!
