Caspian is a thematic orchestral brass library. Featuring an all-in-one patch approach similar to Oceania, Caspian uses performance/repetition sampling and creative release techniques to capture the samples in motion and provide a reactive and playable experience.
An audio ear-training course for recording engineers, producers and musicians. Moulton started doing such training as an educational exercise for students back in 1969, and has since used it everywhere. In 1992, KIQ Productions asked Moulton to make it commercially available, and the rest is history. I’m personally very proud of these drills, and pleasantly surprised and honored by how widely they’ve been adopted and put into use around the world. Many private individuals, studios, broadcasting organizations, colleges and universities have all adopted Golden Ears. I know of nothing else like them, except for a couple of very specialized and highly developed in-house computer programs for ear-training. Certainly nothing else that is commercially available. If you want to improve your audio hearing acuity and knowledge, these are a great tool!
Fluid Shorts is based around performance-sourced off-the-string spiccatos with a smaller string ensemble (8/6/4/3). The instruments are built to function well in moderate repetition, by way of performances that have been deconstructed from phrases into playable multi-samples.
River Piano, recorded in a hall, is a grand piano library focused on arrhythmic textures – from multi-octave repeated unisons to sustaining suspended chord flurries and trills, to upward/downward arpeggios and glissandi. The library’s intent is to provide organic movement and color in an orchestral or dramatic setting.

It features realtime recording of knob movements, a FX engine with bread-and-butter effects and a unique lock switch. Using that, you can skip through instruments while locking the current settings in place. Perfect for trying out different sounds without loosing current knob and/or effect settings. A new volume knob with motion recording has been added as well as the possibility to now play back motion recordings in ping-pong (forward/backward) mode for smoother transitions.
Cellos is a string library recorded with motion in the sustains, legato, and attacks/releases. “Active-bow” sustains offer continuously re-expressed vibrato & emotion, via performance & editing approaches. Responsive note attacks and meticulously-timed release samples – derived from units of musical performance – morph with your playing to allow fluent note-length variation, similar to previous Performance Samples libraries. Cellos continues along the path of “energetic release samples” and appreciation of performance-sourced phrase endings as a critical element of the toolkit in release-sample functionality. Bow-change legato transitions wrap it all together, and with the entire library recorded con moto and musically-restless, the result is a breathing ensemble with coherence in phrasing, vibrato, and expression.
