    2.5 Hours + Session File

    Remixer extraordinaire Timothy Allan is back and ready to show that you don’t need any fancy third party plug-ins or instruments to make a great track in Live 9. In this series Timothy starts a club track using randomly selected samples, with Live 9 instruments and processing only! Timothy also includes his Live session file and samples so you can work and experiment along with him. Timothy begins the series with a short introduction to what you can expect from this series. Next it’s on to sample selection. Timothy does this randomly, by turning Live’s preview function off, and is unable to hear the samples he is selecting until they are in his session, and loaded into channels! Timothy goes over the thought process for deciding what kind of track to make and then jumps right onto creating the initial lead sound.

    One of the most cult proclaimed keyboard instruments in the history of music is the Wurlitzer Electric Piano. With its rough and phat sound, the Wurlitzer has left an immense mark on several classic recordings with a variety of performers such as Ray Charles, Steely Dan, the Doors, Sun Ra and Queen just to mention a few. The Kontakt version of PM-200 includes a customized skin and KSP scripting for easy tweaking. Both full and “light” versions of the PM-200 are included. Special .nki format audio loops can seamlessly be loaded up in Kontakt for instant session tempo sync – no need to timestretch or compress.

    Following on the heels of his smash hit series “Starting a Club Track with Live 9”, Timothy Allan is back with the sequel, “Finishing a Club Track with Live 9”. In this series, Timothy shows you how to arrange and finalize the beats and grooves created in the first series and make it sound like a world-class club track. Timothy even includes the Live session file and samples so you can work and experiment along with him. Timothy begins with a short video on what you can expect, and then reviews the sounds and elements he’ll be using to build the track up. Beginning with the intro section, Timothy puts the track together piece by piece, and builds risers, a ‘bass bomb’ and adds all the different elements for the melodic section.

    Create, produce and perform. Create ideas, make changes without stopping, and capture everything as you work. If you’ve used music software before, you’re already familiar with with one half of Ableton Live. Live’s Arrangement View is a familiar working space: time moves from left to right, while tracks are stacked vertically. But Live also features the revolutionary Session View: a unique sketchpad for improvising, playing and performing with musical ideas, without the constraints of the timeline. Freely and independently start and stop any number of audio or MIDI loops – everything stays in sync. Almost everything in Live works in real-time – add, reorder or remove devices, play with Live’s flexible track routing and more – all without interrupting your creative flow.

    ..:: The Analog Magic of a MiniKorg700 ::..

    Synth700 is a complete Korg 700 multisampled instrument for Ableton Live, Kontakt and Logic. It has been expertly sampled and programmed with all of the details and nuances of the original. Synth700 is constructed with over 1200 individual samples from an original MiniKorg 700. The filters, waveforms, chorusing, brightness and more have all been captured using permutative technique, allowing the user to focus the sound directly on individual parameter settings – much like one would do with the original analog model. Don?t let the single instrument or 8 Macros fool you. Synth700 is actually quite complex. There are over 256 individual parameter configurations based on what you dial in on the Macro controls. You just have to start fiddling around to get some great pads, synth strings/brass, basses and more!
