A simple sample set From the Hohner Pianet T, but with a twist.

As always, sampled to worn tape to emulate the mellotron sound, but this time the samples have been gently overdriven with vintage valves, to bring out the hidden character of the Pianet, which without sounds very polite. With the valves added, the Pianet comes to life, and sounds like a wurlitzer / rhodes hybrid, and more. There are over 40 different 70s inspired instrument patches created for Kontakt 4.2.4 or later, and the wavs will also load in other samplers too (but no presets). The kontakt patches have a theme of modulation running through most of them, from autowah to ramped lfos and delays (via the mod wheel), as well as classic phasers.

The D-50 is an all-time favorite digital synth that’s still just as popular today as when it first came out in ’87. Once Roland’s hottest digital synth, it competed against the Yamaha DX7,and was much easier to use. By joining 8-bit PCM samples with “LAS” synth-generated sounds, the D-50 is capable of unique and complex sounds. The PCM samples contained the attack transients, while the rest of the sound came from the Linear Arithmatic Synth (LAS) section which sounds very analog, with subtractive-style synthesis and low-pass-resonant filters. Puremagnetik has recreated these classic sounds for Kontakt. The P-50 Linear includes customized patches sourced directly from the original D-50 sound engine.

Epic bronze gong drum library sampled in pristine clarity. A highly versatile virtual instrument that ranges from intimate taps to ringing mallet booms. This is a pristinely recorded, deeply sampled library of a ceremonial bronze gong drum from South East Asia. This particular drum was in the ground for most of its lifetime as a ceremonial drum, only to be disenterred for ancestral and other rituals in the local village. It was brought back to the UK by renowned South East Asia expert and anthropologist Andrew Turton, during his studies there in the 1970s. It has since been in his private collection of artefacts and musical instruments from the region. The drum was recorded dry. The library is highly playable, with left hand and right hand separately mapped for easy playing and programming of rolls and crescendi. The custom UI interface allows for control of Sustain, Tape Saturation and subtle Low End control as well as Reverb amount and size.

We are proud to announce LASS First Chair 2 (LASS FC 2), one of the 2 reduced sound sets of LASS Full 2‘s library. LASS FC 2 features solo instruments performed by the section leaders. Rather than sounding like “guest soloists,” these instruments sound like the first chair players they actually are, blending perfectly with the sections they came from. While LASS FC 2 does not include LASS Full 2′s ARC (AB Remote Control), all of LASS FC 2′s patches are the same as LASS Full’s “First Chair” patches… with the exception of not including LASS Full’s Stage and Color features. However, we did add a taste of our new Color technology to LASS FC 2. There is a new “Color” button that lets you use our Bat Man Color profile. Pre-programmed Multis are included so you can simply load them up and play!!
