    Ambient Guitar KONTAKT

     KRock | Jun 19, 2012 | 1.64 GB

Ambient Guitar library is a massive collection of carefully crafted sounds all derived from a number of different guitars. All source material is comprised of live guitar with various effects applied real-time and minimal post-production processing. Contrary to most guitar libraries, the focus of this library is the unrecognizable, ambient side of the stringed instrument. Beyond the strums, palm-mutes, plucks, picks, squeals, pinch-harmonics and lightning fast, finger-bleeding leads typically played on guitars, there lies a dreamy, synthy, rarely heard realm of droning beauty in the guitar. Of course there is still room for plenty of range within this realm. You’ll find sounds from awe-inspiring beauty to fist-clenching rage, from the eerie unknown to somber loneliness, from pulse-pounding horror to gentle, soothing harmony. Taking a small step back from the realm of pure ambience is a select group of bonus post-apocalyptic-inspired, minimalist phrases. These phrases are all still very ambient in nature and are meant to work perfectly on top of the purely ambient patches.

    Bowed Grand Piano KONTAKT

    P2P | Apr 20, 2012 | 1.40 GB

Welcome to Bowed Grand Piano – a library decided to deep sampling of bowed and FX based grand piano strings. The bowing of a piano is a delicate effort, since the instrument is not designed to be bowed. We developed a variety of new recording techniques that allowed us to get deep inside the piano and record a variety of bowings and FX that haven’t been covered in previous libraries. The library is more ambient then oue Plucked Grand Piano, since the concept of bowed piano tends to go in the more ambient/drony direction. We bowed every single string on a world class grand, including both sustains and staccato notes.

    Twine Bass KONTAKT

    P2P | Nov 29, 2011 | 1.11 GB

The Twine Bass is composed of a pair of very special instruments: a modified cello and a traditional Kenyan fretless stringed instrument called a Bolon. We strung the cello with rough hemp twine in various tunings and played it as a stand-up bass. The resulting sounds are deeply sonorous, with rich, warm resonance, powerful low end and a woody, soft quality. The bolon has a cow’s horn for a neck and a gourd as a body, with four twine strings and a goat-skin resonating head that the strings pass directly through. In addition to deep-sampling the strings with 10x round-robin and up to 14 velocity layers, we sampled a number of other sounds such as legato slides, string mutes, tuning peg pluck/twists, finger taps and brushes, and other percussive effects on the instrument’s body.

    Bongajon KONTAKT

    AudioP2P | 10-08-2009 | 667MB

The history behind the upcoming Tonehammer Bongajon (combination of Cajon and Bongo) is actually one of darkness and despair. Tonehammer decided to explore both instruments extensively by sampling two sets of professional Cajons (snare and non-snare) and three sets of professional Bongos (small, medium and large). We recorded them as ensemble groups, divisi groups and individual solo sets. The end result includes nearly 8000 samples and 34 instrument patches. We sampled both types of instruments close and dry, using hands, fingers, mallets, sticks and brushes. We made sure to cover a huge range of different playing surfaces on all instruments. Both of the Cajons were also recorded with two different microphone positions (internal and external), so users can truly get the sound they wish. Then, we also captured the 2 cajons and the large primary bongo pair a second time, in a warm, slightly wet wooden percussion studio, just to allow that much more user flexibility. And as a bonus, we’ve included a special section of ensemble hand claps, finger snaps and hotrod stick clacks. All instruments and articulations in the library have a full 10 round robins per velocity layer, and up to 10 velocity layers each. The end-result is the most detailed ensemble and solo Cajon and Bongo library in the history of sampling.

    Little Epic Percussion KONTAKT

    AudioP2P | 04-16-2010 | 553 MB

Welcome to Little Epic Percussion. This great collection of small orchestral and ethnic hand percussion instruments was designed to compliment our existing collection of “epic” hall scoring drums and percussion, yet it also stands alone as a unique toolbox of punchy, powerful and often needed instruments, like the tambourine and Turkish finger cymbals. We not only went out of our way to capture these instruments as deeply as we could muster, but tried as much as possible to discover new ways of thinking about and playing them. You may notice some unorthodox articulations included with some of the instruments, as well as a few strange combinations and mutations that take the sound in whole new creative directions.
