    Elektrik Kalimba KONTAKT

    TEAM MAGNETRiXX | 16 March 2013 | 27.9 MB

Elektrik Kalimba is a funky fusion of African and American, designed to sound like the kind of electric piano a Zulu teenager might hotrod up when he’d had enough of tribal rain dances and wanted to get his groove on. It started life as a 3-octave electric kalimba – or mbira, or karimba, or marimba; basically, an African folk thumb piano. Our kalimba was electric from the start, in that it was fitted with a pickup for amplification; but really, it was that row of thumb-plucked tines that set us thinking. Tines; electric pickups; this thing wants to be a Rhodes, right?

Originally sampled by professional organist Lars Palo and released under a Creative Commons liscense, this a 40 stop organ has been converted to Kontakt 5 by bigcat Instruments. Thanks to scripting by Matt McKay, this organ is the most extensive instrument we have ever released. It features over 100 Reverbs, Unison X, Stereo Enhancement, a 4 band Solid EQ and other effects like Chorus, Phaser and Surround Panning. According to John’s Organ Works, a 40 stop organ has 1,099,511,627,780 combinations, toss in the ability to change almost everything about this organ’s sound, then multiply in over 100 reverbs and you have the ability to customize your sound to an astounding degree. There are two buttons / lights under the organ stops. The left one turns that stop on while the right one unloads that stop from memory, so if you are running low on memory you can easily unload samples you aren’t using.

Virtual instrument based on samples of the famous Fender Rhodes MK1 format ALP for Ableton Live. Also in the pack is more than 60 loops and 5 amp models and cabinets. In 1975 Fender Rhodes created the second incarnation their widely popular stage piano series. Having previously released the Fender Rhodes Mark I suitcase version with an 80W amp, Fender Rhodes went on to release the “Rhodes Mark I” now with plastic hammers and specifically modified to be played through a guitar and / or bass amplifier. Puremagnetik is proud to present the next instrument in their Vintage Electronic Piano line. Sampled more for its unique character and less for its perfection, the PM Mark One will bring a “flavor” all its own to the studio or stage. This Micropak includes a 73 key multisampled instrument and over 60 audio loops played by professional jazz, funk and R & B keyboardists. The Ableton Live version of PM Mark One also includes 5 custom built amp and speaker emulations in Ableton Rack format.

Includes over 30 expertly tailored programs that fully capture the characteristic charm of the legendary EDP Wasp synthesizer.
The Wasp is a quirky little synthesizer that, despite its toyish look, is quite capable of funky analog sounds. It really is black and yellow too, just like the insect it is named for. Probably its most distinguishing feature is the keyboard and its non-moving touch-sensitive keys. That`s right, the flat little keys are only sensitive to your electro-static touch. It`s a nifty technology for 1978, but in reality they are difficult and unreliable to play. The WASP is powered by two digital oscillators supported by analog filters, envelopes and controls. This makes it one of the earliest digital/analog hybrid synthesizers to come in such a compact package, and it sounds great! The Wasp offers flexible and traditional synthesis of cool bass, synth, and other classic monophonic sounds. Its designer, Chris Hugget, also designed the Oxford Synthesizer Company`s OSCar Synthesizer. The Wasp has been used by 808 State, Dave Holmes, Vince Clarke, WhiteHouse and Add N to (X).

A collection of sounds created from the 8 bit synthesizer chip on the classic Nintendo® (NES) gaming console. Put a classic Nintendo console in your sound production workstation. Puremagnetik sound designers have extracted this collection of blippy programs from the internal synthesizer of a classic NES. The NES board supported a total of five sound channels. These included two pulse waveduty cycle (12.5%, 25%, 50%, and 75%), with a volume control of sixteen levels, and hardware pitch bending supporting frequencies ranging from 54 Hz to 28 kHz. Additional channels included one fixed-volume triangle wave channel supporting frequencies from 27 Hz to 56 kHz, one sixteen-volume level white noise channel supporting two modes (by adjusting inputs on a linear feedback shift register) at sixteen pre-programmed frequencies, and one delta pulse-width modulation channel with six bits of range, using 1-bit delta encoding at sixteen preprogrammed sample rates from 4.2 kHz to 33.5 kHz, often resulting in poor sound quality. This final channel was also capable of playing standard pulse-code modulation (PCM) sound by writing individual 7-bit values at timed intervals.
