Grindhouse is a collection of edgy, lo-fi, and retro-cool multi-sampled instruments with loads of character and a unique 1970s exploitation movie vibe. Our goal in creating Grindhouse was to produce a virtual instrument that had the same feel as those old exploitation films: a VI that is so bad, it’s good. This library is a collection of instruments that sound like they were sampled from old vinyl LPs and recorded off a bad copy of an obscure 1970s exploitation film. The instruments that we sampled for Grindhouse were chosen because they have a truly distinctive sound and character. We used old instruments, cheap instruments, and instruments that most sensible people would have probably taken to a music store for repairs, or thrown in the trash (in fact, at least two of the instruments in this product were recovered from a town dump).

Zebra Ultramarine explores the unique textural capabilities of amazing Zebra 2 and also takes advantage of its comprehensive and intuitive rhythmic engine and powerful oscillators, resulting in a versatile, instantly inspiring scoring collection. Some of the textures are so organic it’s hard to believe that there aren’t any samples involved. While Zebra Ultramarine is primarily designed for scoring applications (Film, TV, Games, Trailers), it will also work great in other genres such as ambient, neoclassical or new age. Patches are carefully programmed with detailed modulation capabilities, offering much more detail per every preset.
Valis is a dark cinematic analog tour de force collection of 180 signature patches for U-He Zebra 2.8. The set contains a wide sound palette of gloomy darkness and strange evil, balanced with a hint of salvaging light. There are characterful arpeggios, dark basslines and basses, twisted synth keys with after-key dynamics, silky warm pads to driving, tense pulses and ominous soundscapes. Being both beautiful and sinister by nature, these sounds are perfectly suited to be used in TV/Film and sci-fi underscore dramas and horror. While heavily influenced by artists Kyle Dixon & Michael Stein of Stranger Things fame, additional influences can be attributed to artists such as Ben Frost, Apparat, Disasterpeace and Vangelis. Many patches offer added adaptability programmed into the modwheel and aftertouch is used for more expression. All sounds have a few dB headroom and X/Y assignments for further exploring.
