These videos are designed for new RSI 1 users. Larry begins by welcoming you and providing a bit of background on the Schmidt Synthesizer and what helps make it such a unique standout among hardware synths, followed by a brief overview of the instrument’s interface and layout. Then it’s on to the Main page, where you’ll learn how to select various sounds for the four available layers and quickly adjust them on the fly with macros. Next, you’ll explore the Mixer page, where you’ll make level adjustments as well as create custom effects chains and more. Larry continues with the Edit page next, where you’ll have access to all the important parameters for tweaking your sounds, like the filter, envelopes, etc. You’ll then see how to add frequency modulation effects to pitch, filter, amplitude, and more on the FM page.
