Smasher is an unprecedented custom modification of the classic Urei 1176 compressor circuit, a unique formula that we stumbled upon while fine-tuning other algorithms. The original 1176 compressor hardware offered a selection of four ratios, but studio engineers soon discovered that pressing them all at once led to a distorted, explosive and highly compressed sound. It’s this “All buttons in” or “British” mode that Smasher was painstakingly designed to recreate. While remaining very close to the original circuitry, the modifications we’ve built into Smasher will add definition to transients and make your tone more aggressive. We love using it to enhance the ambience in drum busses, but there are many more creative uses too. Smasher won’t work on every single track, but where it does, it works magic. Smasher excels at raw and gritty sounds, calling to mind bands like Vulfpeck, The Whitefield Brothers and The Black Keys.
Valvekult 3 – The British Tube Enhancer Plugin. Experience an amplified frequency response, enriching your audio with unparalleled clarity and precision. Valvekult V3 is the embodiment of Edgy Sonic Enhancement, enhancing the depth and character of your mixes and tracks with natural analog-style harmonics. The Richness of Thermionic Tubes. Nothing matches the musical enhancement of genuine tube harmonics. From gentle warmth to overdriven fury—like a 200-watt stack pushed to its limits—our topology delivers the full spectrum of valve coloration. Pristine clarity at <0.2% THD or rich harmonic saturation. Three distinct valve configurations with infinite variations. Smooths digital harshness while adding natural analog depth.
The BQ-A based on Classic British EQ from the ’70s. With a surprisingly wide range of tonal variations, the BQ-A is an invaluable and professional audio tool with great flexibility and excellent sonic ability. The main of the EQ section allows four frequencies at any one time, switchable to one of four frequencies: Low Filter (Shelf): 50, 80, 100, 150 Hz; Low-Mid Filter (Bell): 250, 500, 1k, 2k Hz; High-Mid Filter (Bell): 3k, 5k, 7k, 9k Hz; High Filter (Shelf): 8k, 10k, 12k, 15k Hz. A series of three high pass filters at 18 dB per octave and three low pass filters at 12 dB per octave are arranged at the ends of the EQ section. They are unique in that the switches can be pushed in simultaneously, offering distinct cut filter combinations with unusual filter curves.
This plug-in models British-made preamps, compressors, equalizers, and transmitters. It models multiple actual units, including vintage units, recent units, and modified units, and can be used in combination with them. Model N Channel is not just modeling the sound of the original preamp, comp, and EQ alone. It features modeling of the sound qualities and tones routed in large recording studios, including sounds through British consoles, cables, bantam patch bays, and even AD/DA, which can add a strong analog texture.
Silver Spring captures the character of 17 legendary analog spring reverb units. These units were meticulously sampled, then arranged into five families that range from classic studio staples, to adventurous, mod-soaked textures designed for spatial exploration.
