Morgana is an authentic representation of a vintage digital sampler, designed to be musical rather than accurate while simultaneously free from the clumsy interface or sub-megabyte RAM limitations plagued by old hardware. Morgana doesn’t try to boast the most impressive spec sheet, or the most transparent sound. By returning to a simpler architecture, Morgana actually transcends the limitations of typical software samplers, creating an experience that sounds and feels like an actual instrument–one that is inspiring and with a sound all its own. Morgana is also capable of sampling, either through its own inputs or through a technology entitled “SampLink” which effectively allows Morgana to sample from any track in a multitrack environment in a simple and no-hassle way.
reTune gives you full access to the pitch content of your audio samples and enables you to map each input pitch to any other pitch of the chromatic scale – all in realtime. This allows you to re-tune your audio to any target key (e.g. from D major to C# minor), or to use it as a creative tool to modify the pitch content in any way you like. If you are unsure about the key of your input audio, you can let reTune estimate the key for you. In addition, reTune can act as a pitch correction tool that quantizes pitches to the nearest semitone. Additional controls include the sensitivity of the pitch corrections, the treatment of transients as well as a smoothing of the pitch contours.

Full EQ control is a formality today, but it was a dazzling novelty back in the days. Just like the original machine, Pulsar 8200 gives you a tight and solid low end, a crystalline high end, and surgical control over the frequency spectrum. He perfectly replicates the all-discrete, Class-A analog electronics that made the original machine famous in the 80s, and still used today. Its parallel topology, coupled with unique filtering shapes, allows an intuitive and unique spectrum shaping, resulting in smooth curves, and a more natural result compared to classic digital EQ, maintaining its own “analog personality”.
