RA gives you a view into how the pros make their tracks and a way for you to learn directly from your DAW. Sequenced with a combination of NI Massive and heavily processed, resampled bass, you are free to do what you want with the tracks and hack into them however you see fit. Take a peek into each channel and look at the processing, see how channels are grouped and balanced individually. Swap out bass sounds for your own, switch the drums up, completely re-work the tracks, its up to you.

Ambient Black is the second of a linked pair of sound design-based virtual instruments designed to provide composers and producers with a collection of original instruments and textures suitable for all sorts of ambient music. As its name implies, Ambient Black covers the darker end of the ambient spectrum, focusing on harsh, aggressive, atonal, mysterious, and industrial sounds. Ambient White, the first VI in this series, covers the opposite end of the ambient spectrum. The majority of sounds used in the creation of Ambient Black were derived from organic sources: found sounds and audio recordings subjected to extreme sound design techniques, prepared and heavily processed musical instruments, and sounds recorded in natural environments. The synth sounds were also processed with sound design techniques, and combined with various organic sounds and instruments. The end result is a product that combines acoustic, human, industrial, and electronic elements to produce an organic-sounding virtual instrument.

Invented over 125 years ago, the celesta remains a nicely obscure yet fascinating instrument: It sports a vibrant, mellow and charming sound remeniscent of a vibra- phone, glockenspiel, marimba and a piano – yet a sound of its own. The celesta offers rich harmonics and bell-like tone that chimes with force. At that time, it was inspiring to those looking for a new sound – Tschaikowsky wrote some parts of his Nutcracker for a celesta. Back then, no one had ever dreamt that a celesta would be as relevant today as ever – being the acoustic ancestor of the most popular vintage electric pianos, which share the same basic sound principles. Providing a warm and full bass, it carries more weight than a toy piano and is great for any track demanding an unconsumed yet familiar sound.

Analogue Explorations For Ultra Analog VA-2

‘Analogue Explorations’ is a collection of 64 carefully programmed analogue type sounds created for  “Ultra Analog VA-2″ synth. The soundset is not aimed at any particular style or genre, but provides a sound-palette easily adapted in any type of electronic music – spanning the spectre from deep dubtechno, dnb, idm, chip to funky house. This pack contains a broad variety of analogue type sounds programmed with small amounts of drift and plenty of analog grit – of which this synth has plenty. You’ll find basses ranging from funky synth basses to bombastic subbasses – and pads ranging from soft baby tissue to sweeping textured wonders. There’s also a range of lead-synths well suited for the odd melody-line or a full solo-riff. Ultra Analog VA-2 doesn’t allow too much action to be applied through the modwheel, but there’s added vibrato for most sounds. The true bonus in this soundset is the percussive sounds and the instant atmosphere creating soundeffects, which in some cases can make up the basis of an entire dub techno track.
